This time around, there's some simple platforming that you'll have to do to get over some bottomless pits. While it breaks up some of the monotony, the stages are getting long in the tooth at this point.
Mobo Island
Shortly after the beginning, you'll be seeing pits for the first time in a while. Between the enemies as well as the cannonballs coming down from the sky for no reason, you'll want to be careful if you're in the center. At least you can still attack people over the pits.
A little later on, you will have to do some platforming. As you jump, watch the platforms so that you don't get hit by exploding cannonballs, and watch out for the spike pit. You'll have to make a running jump at the spike pit, and you'll have to make another running jump to make it back to solid ground at the end.
Nibbler, in typical Nibbler fashion, will eat the Minga Melons at the first tree you find right before you face a Lug Brother. What a kick in the balls, right?
After that, you'll have to do another platforming section over a bottomless pit. You'll have to avoid a rock from out of nowhere, then stand between the two spike pits, watch the shadows for the cannonballs that drop down, them make another running jump to get to the end.
The boss in this stage is Feryx, and unlike the other boss battles you've had, this one is in the form of a horizontal shoot-'em-up...ain't that a twist! The Feryx will fly in and out of the screen in Mode 7 style, and you'll want to stay away from it as well as the yellow cloud-like projectiles it spits out. There is also a five-way feather shot afterwards, but if you stay far to the left, you have a good chance of avoiding it. After putting a zillion arrows into the Feryx, you'll get the sixth treasure.
