In this entry, we travel through the maze that is The Asylum Grounds.
0:34 - The cutscene for The Asylum Grounds.
1:05 - These fat dudes are pretty easy to beat, thankfully.
1:36 - The flaming longbow will take care of the hedge dragon.
1:57 - Our first meeting with Jack of the Green. We must solve four riddles. The first is: "At night they come without being fetched; by day they are lost without being stolen."
2:50 - The first of five stars, the answer to the first riddle. Strike them to solve the riddle.
3:09 - You'll have to go through this maze a couple of times to complete this level.
3:23 - The second star.
3:43 - You'll have to defeat all these enemies to move on. The third star will be here.
4:24 - The fourth star. Get out of there as soon as you hit it.
4:48 - The fifth star. Go back to Jack of the Green for the second riddle.
5:16 - "I live for laughter, I live for the crowd, without it I am nothing." The answer is a clown.
5:44 - This path is no longer blocked, and if you follow it to the end...
6:05 - You'll need to strike all these signs so that they show smiles before they start turning back. From left to right, hit the first two with the Power Strike, then the last two, then the center. The two on the left turn the slowest, while the one in the center turns the fastest. You'll need to work on the right and center signs at the same time to get the clown to laugh. Go back to Jack of the Green.
8:27 - "Face like a tree, skin like the sea, a great beast I be, yet vermin frighten me!" It's an elephant.
8:48 - Follow this path to the elephant. Here, there are also cats moving around back and forth, too.
10:00 - Go through the maze to get the Chaos Rune. There is another wall that has come down.
10:13 - Behind it is this Cthulhu-looking hedge. Strike all the tentacles to open up the doorway and hit the face with the Flaming Longbow. On the other side is the Chaos Rune.
11:12 - Use the Chaos Rune to free a white mouse. Take it to the elephant, and make sure that the mouse does not come into contact with any of the cats in any way. When you get the mouse close enough to the elephant, you'll solve the riddle. Go back to Jack of the Green for the fourth and last riddle, but first go through the newly opened area nearby and take out all the enemies. Don't forget the Chalice!
14:09 - I tolerate the moon and stars, I can't abide the sun, banish me with torch light and you'll see me turn and run. The answer is the darkness.
14:55 - The grate is open behind the elephant. Push the torches the stained glass windows on the wall. The sound cue means that a torch is now in position. When you move all three, go into the nearby chamber and stand in the light to solve the riddle, then return to Jack of the Green.
16:34 - Well, that's helpful. To get out of the maze, you'll need to go to the elephant one more time and go back to the hedge door that was spitting fire. This time, it's opened.
17:20 - The yellow rook always moves horizontally and vertically. The green bishop always moves diagonally. The red queen can move in any direction in any amount of spaces, and the queen can only move space in any direction at a time. Move the pieces to their corresponding colored space by hitting them from behind to get them to go where you want to go, and you'll open a path in the floor to the inside of the asylum.
19:06 - Bloodmonath Skull Cleaver gives you the Throwing Axe, which has infinite uses and is a pretty powerful throwing weapon.
