PrinceWatercress plays MediEvil - Part 5 of 24


Next up is the Scarecrow Fields. Here, we'll be taking down two mechanical monstrosities, unleashing a dragon on our enemies and making sure not to touch the walls in a corn maze.


0:54 - The cutscene for Scarecrow Fields.

1:33 - The scarecrows. The best way to beat them is to light them on fire with the club if you can. The scarecrows can also sic crows on you. Also, they haystacks house guys with pitchforks who will charge at you, and if you can set the haystacks on fire, you can get gold out of them as well. (Thanks LyingSecret) To move the cart out of the way, whack it with the hammer.

3:51 - To defeat these metal monstrosities, get past the underside and shoot the guy at the controls on the rear end with the Crossbow. After this, you can get the Moon Rune, which in turn gets you the Earth Rune.

5:32 - Run past the windmill to get past it. The blades will hurt you, so be careful.

7:04 - He just stands there and takes it.

7:40 - This thing will shoot fire, so take care of this guy quickly.

8:58 - The corn maze. Walking into the grains is instant death, so don't do it. 

10:10 - Walk into the box of hay to get up to the switch and lower the harvesting machine. You'll still need to fix the machine to get it working, however.

13:54 - The fire here can be used to set the club on fire, but at this point, I never used it after getting the hammer.

14:10 - The way out of the corn maze. Watch out for those windmill blades!

14:31 - The mills. Stay away from the millstone, then stay away from the spiked planks of wood as they spin around. Watch out for the wooden planks that pop out of the walls, too. From here, keep running and stay near the wall, then be ready to jump over spiked wooden walls while running against them. Use the Daring Dash to get past the last part of the mill with its seemingly spring-loaded spiked walls on the way to the Harvester Part.

17:23 - Kul Kutura, the snake demon. He's the best way to get rid of all of the enemies en masse, but he does bid farewell after a a while.

17:38 - The harvester tears a path to the Chalice. Don't forget that Life Bottle! From here, you'll need to go through the mills again and go right at the last building to exit.

20:30 - Woden the Mighty gives us the Broad Sword, which is a step up from the Short Sword.
