HCBailly plays Final Fantasy IV (Super Famicom) - Part 22 of 70

...and now it's time to sneak through the old waterway in an attempt to find a way into the castle!

Town of Baron

Back in Baron, the woman at the eastern exit will tell you there is an underground waterway that leads to Baron Castle on the west side of town. The last time we checked, this door was locked, but now we can unlock it with the Baron Key.

Old Waterway

Head right at the beginning to get 1,000 Gil.

The Lightning Fish absorb lightning; use Dancing Knives, Zeus' Wraths or Bio to kill them instead.

The Gigas Gators are weak to ice, and the Splashers are weak to lightning. You can also use the same tactics against the Lightning Fish to take the Gigas Gators out.

Hi-Potions cure more HP than Potions do. Save these for when you need them.

Deathtanets are weak to lightning, and Alligators are weak to ice like the Gigas Gators.

Hydras are also weak to lightning, and they are perhaps the easiest of the enemies here to deal with.

You'll also face BaronGuards here, as well. Fight them like you did at the inn.

Floodworms are weak to lightning. Take them out quickly, as they have a tsunami attack that deals damage relative to how much HP it has; the more damage it's taken, the more powerful it will be.

There is an Ancient Sword at the end of a secret passage to the right of the save room here. You could sell it for 9500 Gil, but it can be useful later.
