HCBailly plays Final Fantasy IV (Super Famicom) - Part 32 of 70

Now it's time to face the Magus Sisters, one of the more memorable bosses in Final Fantasy lore.

The Hell Claw increases Yang's Strength by three, but the Fairy Claw will still be useful, so don't throw it away.

The Flame Shield protects against Fire.

The Gaea Hammer is for Cid, and it will cast Quake when used as an item in battle. Though it's not as strong as Palom's version, it can still do some damage.

The Priest Robe increases Will by five points, and is useful for Tellah.

The Black Knight is weak to both the Fire and Holy elementals.

If you need to, level Cecil up to Level 30. The Marionettes have the most experience out of all the monsters here, so if you need to, keep fighting enemies around the save point.

When you approach the door to the left of the save point, you'll fight the Magus Sisters, the minions of Barbariccia, the Empress of Wind. Dog, Mag and Rag (Sandy, Cindy and Mindy respectively in the Western version) will fight you in an attempt to take the Crystal of Earth.

Have Cecil and Yang use a Bacchus' Wine.

Mag (Cindy) is the one in the middle and the toughest of the three, and if you kill the other two sisters, she will revive them. Kill her first. The two other sisters will cast spells on Mag after Reflect is cast on Mag to send them at your party, but if you cast Reflect on a party member and cast strong spells on them, you can have them hit the sisters instead and be able to hit Mag at random. Once you take out Mag, the rest of the battle is pretty easy.

Once you beat the Magus Sisters, you'll be able to meet Kain and Golbez. Once you step on the stairs, you'll start the crystal exchange. Don't let Golbez intimidate you like Darth Vader did these guys, and if he does, you know what to do.
