Believe it or not, the Game Boy got a game based on the first Power Rangers movie...and it's quite all right.
Interestingly enough, while the Power Rangers control the same, there is a bit of a nuance between them. Aisha, Rocky and Kimberly (the Yellow, Black and Pink Rangers) are slightly weaker but can jump higher; Tommy, Rocky and Billy (the White, Red and Blue Rangers) can't just as high but are slightly more powerful.
The first five stages of the game can be done in any order, and if you beat them all, you'll unlock the sixth and final stage.
Stage 1
Oh, boy. It's just like the original Game Boy game! You walk to the right and punch putties in the face! The Control Pad lets you move, while A lets you jump and B lets you attack.
This is pretty simple. Just run to the right and jump on the rubble when it blocks your path. Punch the Putties to fill up your Power meter.
If an enemy drops a heart, you can pick it up to refill your life. If it drops two lightning bolts, grab them. It adds two whole bars to your Power meter, which you can use to Morph by pressing the Select button (which took me forever to figure out as a kid). You have to morph in order to fight the boss, so keep that in mind. Morphing lets you restore all of your health, and you also take less damage in Ranger form. While in Ranger Mode, you can hold B to move backwards and jump to perform a somersault. Also, double-tapping Left or Right lets you do a shoulder tackle to instantly kill Putties. If you fill up the Power meter while in Ranger form, you can press Select to unleash a screen-clearing Dinobomb.
The mini-boss after the first section is some sort of machine thing. Wait for the lightning bolts it sends at you to hit the ground, then avoid those and hit it in when it comes back. It'll be solid at that time, so keep jumping straight up and attacking. It's really easy.
Even though he picks up those lightning bolts at the end, you'll have to grab pick-ups (or let them disappear on their own) before the game can let you continue on.
Stage 1 Boss
This guy is just so easy it's amazing. Just stay in the middle and wait for him to show up at either side of the screen. Walk right towards him, avoiding the fireballs as you go, and hit him. It's that simple. Just don't be at the sides when he teleports; otherwise, you're getting punched as soon as he shows up.
Stage 2
Whatever you do, don't jump around unless you don't see spikes on the ceiling. The spikes will damage you if you touch them.
There are a lot of conveyor belts in this first section. You may have to duck in order to continue on, as there are a few low ceilings around here.
The bats will fly from one side of the screen to the other. The brain-looking creatures will jump towards and can be crouch attacked when they hit the ground, and the water tap-looking things will move around at 45-degree angles. The water taps add a whole bar to the power meter should you destroy one.
The spikes pits are not instant death, but if you do land in them, jump your way to the right as fast as you can to minimize damage. You can also hit your head on the ceiling spikes here, but they don't cause a lot of harm, either.
After the brain-looking things, you'll see fireball shooters on the ground. Hitting them not only cause a rock to drop (which you should avoid) but also give you a lot of Power upon destruction, so you should be able to morph after you destroy them.
The second section has you punching through the sand. The best pattern for this is B, B, Down+B, Down+B. You want to keep this up as quickly as possible, as the mini-boss will chase after you. Don't even tangle with it, because it's instant death if it catches up with you. After a while, you'll get to the other side and the mini-boss will disappear.
The third section starts with falling spikes. They may drop hearts or lightning bolts, so wait for them to hit the ground before you continue. This part is fairly short, though...
...because the fourth section is the mine cart segment. Jump on the mine cart, and make sure nothing hits you. Also, don't fall off the mine cart. If you move or jump off the mine cart and land on the floor below, it's an instant game over. Jump on another mine cart when you see one, and duck under the painfully low ceilings. Also, if you're in Ranger form, never hold B while moving. You will move off the cart and immediately die.
Stage 2 Boss
The conveyor belts may be a hindrance in getting close to the boss, but you're in Ranger mode! Use that dashing shoulder tackle to get closer, and kick that bird in the chest! Using your jump kick also works here.
The Tengu Queen (yes, there is a Tengu in this game) will appear on either side of the screen and shoot a three-way feather shot at you. Get close to it, avoiding the feathers, and hit her. She'll fly away and re-appear again on one of the two sides of the screen.
Stage 3
The bats are back from Stage 2 (as are the brain-looking things that leap at you), but they're easy. You can hit the brain-looking things when they stop in front of you, but only if you duck while you do it.
To enter the doorways, just press Up on the Control Pad when in front of them.
The second section is the return of the "water taps", so hit them if you need the energy for the Power meter.
If you enter the first door you see, you'll skip the mini-boss. If you don't, you'll fight the mini-boss. Thankfully, it's easy. Just punch it in the eye when the eye opens up, and avoid the fireballs that it sends at you, which seems to have some sort of quasi-homing abilities. If you stay to the side and keep jumping over the fireball whenever you can, you'll keep avoiding it until it eventually disappears. When you beat the mini-boss, you'll be going to where you would have been had you taken the first doorway.
If you take the second doorway, you'll face some new enemies. The skull-head enemies will attack you by lunging their heads at you, but if you keep ducking, they will never be able to hit you and you can attack them until they die. As for the Putties with the rocket launchers, jump over the rockets, then duck down and hit them.
The rest of the stage is really, really simple.
Stage 3 Boss
Another simple boss. Punch it when it's standing still, and avoid it when it's somersaulting in and out of the water. It will know where you are, so it's very easy to time when he's going to come out of the water and roll into you again to an exact science.
