PrinceWatercress plays Adventures In The Magic Kingdom - Part 1 of 2

This game is a short one, and can be easily beaten in about an hour if you know what you're doing.

You'll enter your name - up to eight characters. Be sure that the rest of your name is correct before entering the last letter, because the game kicks you straight to the story as soon as you input it.

The game begins with you entering Walt Disney World for the big parade. Unfortunately, the golden key has gone missing, and the six silver keys needed to open the castle gate have also gone missing. You'll have to find the six silver keys in order to open the castle and start the parade. Five keys are on the rides, while you'll have to ask around for the sixth one.

You can use the Control Pad to move around.

Clockwise from the southwest all the way to the southeast is the Pirates of the Carribean stage, the Haunted Mansion stage, the Big Thunder Mountain Train, Autopia and Space Mountain.

Space Mountain

There is a silver key on Star F. Look at the console on the bottom center of the screen and input the Control Pad direction as soon as you see it. If you see a ship approach, press A; if you see a meteor, press B. If you see left and right arrows flashing simultaneously, press either direction. Thankfully, a button on the left side is A and a button on the right side is B. The letter on the top center shows where you are in the stage, and as you get closer to Star F, the game will get faster and more difficult.

You can only mess up three times; after that, you'll lose a life and you'll have to start over.

When you make it to Star F, you'll get a silver key.

Autopia

The Control Pad lets you move. By pressing A, you'll start accelerating. Press Up and then A again and you'll speed up. If you lose all your speed by running into cones, walls or other cars, keep pressing A and Up and you'll get back to top speed in no time.

If you fall into a pit, you'll be forced to start this whole thing over.

The "Jump" squares are ramps that let you jump. There are also gray and white barriers in the red "lava pit" areas that also act as ramps.

You'll eventually see pits with bridges that move back and forth. Press B to hit the break, then accelerate when the bridge completely covers the pit below so you can cross.

Also, try to collect as many stars as you can. When you press Start to pause the game on any stage (except Space Mountain), you can trade the lives for power-ups, such as health, an extra life, invincibility and even the ability to freeze all enemies temporarily. This is the only You can also get a glimpse at how much time you have left in a stage

If you hear a bell replace the music, hurry up, or else you'll run out of time and you'll be starting this all over. If you hear it when you're at the part with the fountains, you're good.

When you get through the race course in time, Panhandle Pete will give you a silver key.

The Trivia Part

This is the one you have to ask around for. Answer questions correctly and you'll be able to move to the next one; otherwise, you'll have to answer another question.

The people to talk to are in the following areas, in this order:

  • The Enchanted Castle
  • Space Mountain
  • The Enchanted Castle again
  • It's A Small World (east of Big Thunder Mountain and north of Enchanted Castle)
  • the front gate where you started
  • Tom Sawyer's Island (west of Big Thunder Mountain)
  • Autopia Raceway

At Autopia Raceway, you'll have to answer two questions, but when you get them correct, you'll get the silver key for this part.
