It's time to open some more paths if we want to bring St. Elle's to its former glory.
Durean
You'll be able to find another Strange Bottle in a chest.
Some of the monster lairs will be on lava. Be sure not to touch it, otherwise it will hurt you...a lot.
You'll be able to release the soul of yet another dolphin, and this time, the dolphin will help Lue by ramming into the wall to free Lue.
You will also be able to release the soul of another mermaid.
The Critical Sword is the next level of sword. You will have to be level 11 to equip it, and when you do, you'll be able to destroy the gray monkeys and take care of the other areas in this underwater world a lot more quickly.
The Mermaid's Tears is used at the summit of Durean to turn all the lava floors into stone. With all the lava cooled down, you'll be able to release another mermaid statue. This statue will allow you to open the path to Blester, the island of rain.
St. Elle's Seabed Sanctuary
The mermaid you freed in Durean is the queen's maid.
When you talk to the leader of the mermaid dance squad, you will learn how to dance with the mermaids.
The mermaid in the temple to the north will tell you about Servas the dolphin...and not much else.
If you talk to the mermaid guarding the teleport tile to the left and and are asked if you have seen the queen yet, answer "no." The mermaid will show you what the queen looks like. She will tell you that Lue has been captured, and asks you to save him.
Of course, we've already done that. Talk to Lue, and he'll tell you he used to live with the inventor Dr. Leo. He will tell you about the Blue Stone that he received from him, and that it attracts anyone who looks at it and changes their personality. If they have a good mind, they will become a great person. If they have a bad mind, they will become a bad person.
You will then learn that the Queen took the jewel, and placed Lue in prison after going bad from the influence of the Blue Stone. Lue will ask you to save the Queen and get the Blue Stone back.
Lue will then give you the Thunder Ring, which will cause lightning to strike if you touch a lightning pyramid when you have the ring equipped.
To the right of Lue's cell is the path to the other teleport tile. Since it is still guarded, that path is useless.
The mermaid in the lower-left corner of the temple to the south will give you the Magic Flair, which can be used against flying monsters with a lot of hit points. To use it, you will have to hold the magic button to store energy. When you release it, the ring explodes. There are three different power levels based on the charge time, and the more you charge it up, the more damage it will do.
The dolphin that stays to the left of that corner will take you to a chest that you cannot normally access. Inside the chest is the Big Pearl. Talk to the dolphin again, and you'll be able to go back to the rest of the sanctuary.
St. Elle's Seabed
The path to Blester is to the east. You'll be able to free the soul of another angelfish on the way.
