Skull Man

Get all the keys, unlock all the doors, get all the stuff you can, then enter the main chamber. The battle doesn't start until you shoot Skull Man's head, so go up and get Robo-Pal before you start firing. Once that happens, the hands will come off. Avoid them (and make sure not to be under them, either) as you move around and shoot at Skull Man's head. Thankfully, there is some ammo on the other side of the chamber and some health near the exit. Once you defeat Skull Man, you'll get a shard that allows you to exit.
