In this entry, we get sponsored for the St. James Club, make Lamb a D-LINC and find a way into Lamb's apartment.
Before doing anything else, go back to the shed and use the ID card on the lock to force your way into the shed. You'll see the ruins of an old building inside. There's nothing you can do here but to take the secateurs on the top of the barrel, but you'll need the secateurs.
When you click on the woman in the pink jacket, who just so happens to Mrs. Piermont, you'll be able to talk to her. From here, you can ask her if she knows anybody named "Overmann." She will then tell you that Overmann worked with her husband. This leads to Robert telling her the truth about what happened to Overmann's son, who happens to be you. From here, Mrs. Piermont will go up to her apartment and . Click on the call button near the elevator, and tell her it's Robert.
From here, go through the dialogue options. She will then tell that her husband created LINC, but died before it was finished, leading to Overmann becoming the project leader. Overmann would complete LINC on the day Robert was born, but would spend more time with LINC than his family. As for why Robert's mother escaped, it was because she was from Hobart and because the authorities never approved of the marriage between Robert's parents. From there, you can ask Mrs. Piermont to sponsor you for the club, which she will immediately agree to do. If you want to, choose the rest of the dialogue for more stuff if you want. From here, you won't be able to talk to her again.
You can mess around with things around Mrs. Piermont's apartment, such as the VCR below the monitor and the dog biscuits near the dog bowl, but Mrs. Piermont's dog Spunky will growl at you if you try to take the biscuits.
From here, go to LINC, use the Security Services and make Lamb a D-LINC through File Adjustments. This keeps Lamb stuck on the upper level and unable to enter his own apartment. Head up to the upper level and wait for Lamb. Thank him for the tour, and he will you for the holiday and tell you that you have to bend the rules to make your way in life and tell you to go see Billy from Anchor Insurance - another hint to go see him and another hint. When Lamb finds out the elevator isn't working for him, talk to Lamb. He will be concerned that he cannot feed his cat, Cous-Cous. Offer to feed his cat, and he will give you clearance to enter his apartment despite being a D-LINC.
