In this entry, we meet Anita's contact. Also, something something court of law, something something game show.
Remember the gardener from the ground level? He's the agent.
Talk to Vincent. By going through both dialogue options he will tell you the gardener is not a real gardener because the gardener told him that dandelions are blue when they are yellow, plus he saw him dip his hands in green paint to make it look like he was working with plants. That is your one and only cue that the gardener is Eduardo.
From there, you can talk to the fake gardener multiple times, and he will eventually reveal that he is Eduardo. He will then tell you that LINC is a living, self-replicating organism that originally served as an advisor to the council but slowly and gradually took over for unknown reasons. He will tell you that Hobart's scientists have developed a virus that can check LINC's growth, but it has to be introduced into LINC's system first. Unfortunately, you have to head into LINC-Space yet again in order to get the virus, as it has been downloaded to LINC-Space.
If you head to the St. James Club, you'll notice that the door to the east is open. This is the courtroom, and you'll find out that court is in session. Not only is this a kangaroo court where the judge is far from competent and treats the whole affair like a game show, but Hobbins is on trial for gross contempt and assault of a Security officer, and you're his defender. Regardless of what you pick in the dialogue options, you'll find out that Hobbins is on trial for laughing at Officer Blunt for getting soaked by an overflow pipe that burst when he tried to fix it, Hobbins getting a life sentence that is immediately reduced to two hours of community service no matter how you go through said dialogue options, and you also get random game show lights.
