The city park is a short level, but it's also a very open one. Don't be surprised if you get hit by a monster from seemingly out of nowhere.

City Park

This is a rather short level, but you'll be looking high and low rather than to and fro with this level for power-ups, the hostage, the exit...and enemies.

The most annoying one in the level is the light blue cobra that spits projectiles, as it can hit you from a pretty good distance. Not surprisingly, you'll be seeing this enemy in several levels through the game, especially in the later episodes.

You also have black hairy enemies that slowly roll forward and make the occasional giant leap forward off of ledges. You'll have to crouch down to hit them if they're on the ground.

The land mines are laid on the ground instead of thrown like the grenades, and if any enemies run into them, they will get destroyed. If a land mine explodes, don't walk into the explosion. You will take damage.

The red potion gives you temporary invincibility.

Aside from that, have fun jumping from tree branch to tree branch without falling all the way down, as the way to start your climb over is all the way back at the start. For best results, wipe out all the enemies at ground level first before making your ascent. Thankfully, the hostage is all the way at the top; just stay as high up as possible to get to her. The exit will be near the bottom.
