This is the point where this short game ramps up in difficulty. Get ready!
Round 3
In the first stage, the toucans will dive down at you. When on the ropes, hold the direction you want to jump to before jumping. Be careful on the wooden bridges; some of the segments will fall underneath.
Sometimes, fish will come out of the waterfall when you least expect them. Keep an eye on where you are as you make your way up at the beginning of the first stage.
On the mountains after the waterfall, the spinning enemies cannot be destroyed. Also, the toucans will stop to shoot thunderbolts down. Be ready to jump off small square-shaped platforms and use the tornado to get past the bamboo spikes pits (which are not insta-kill, thankfully).
Interestingly, there is a part of the left wall that you can stand in, and if you duck-walk to the left, you'll get a shortcut that gives you some power-ups and allows you to skip the rest of the waterfall segment. (This shortcut is shown in Classic Game Room's review of the game, which I posted as yesterday's intermission.)
On the second stage, watch out for the fireballs that come out of the lava pits as well as the lava drops that come down from the ceilings. Also, the big green slime splits into four smaller slimes when you attack it...so watch out!
The mine cart will get you over bamboo spike pits, but you'll need to remember to move with it, as the mine cart does not keep you on top of it as it moves. Repeated jumping is preferred.
In the third part of the second stage, there is a chest with Kunai to the left. Don't be like me; take the Kunai, it makes beating the boss easier. As for the platforms, be ready to jump to the left and land on another platform below when they are about to sink completely into the lava as they bob up and down in it.
To beat Robster (who is really a lobster and not a red samurai), throw Kunai at Robster as he comes down, and stay away from the butter that he shoots out. After three hits; Robster becomes a buttered lobster and goes down. If you have the sword, you can stay in the corner and slash at him when he gets close. (This is also seen in Classic Game Room's review of the game.)
