In this entry, we get to do some more things in the factory, then we get to talk to Supervisor Lamb himself.
If you try to go east beyond the guy with the clipboard, you won't be allowed to go over there...yet. Thankfully, there are a couple of things you can do here.
If you talk to Joey near the welding robot, you can find out that you can get Joey a new shell. Unfortunately, the welding robot is currently active, and you'll need to deactivate it. To do that, you'll need to go over to the machinery with the moving cogs near the guy with the clipboard and use the wrench on the cogs. When you do, Robert will throw the wrench into the cogs and gum up the works, stopping work in the factory to a grinding halt. From here, take the wrench back out of the cogs by right-clicking on the cogs. You'll still need the wrench.
From here, go back to the welding robot. The welding robot will no longer be active now that the conveyor belts have been halted. Talk to Joey and ask him if he wants a new shell. You'll find out that the shell is bolted to the chassis of the welding robot, but if you use the wrench on it, you'll be able to loosen the shell. Ask Joey about a new shell again, and this time, you'll be able to take the shell off and place it on Joey, giving him the ability to weld things.
Near the cogs that you broke with the wrench is a door to the west. At the sides of this door are sensors, and if you walk past them, you'll set off an alarm. The man with the clipboard will tell you that a security system is in place despite there being nothing in the storeroom that anybody would want, and that the only thing that can get past the sensors are robots. Talk to Joey and have him enter the storeroom. Wait for Joey to come back, then ask him if he found anything. Joey will mention that he found a fuse box on the wall that powers the alarm. Talk to Joey again and tell him to disable the fuse box in the store room. Joey will go back into the store room. You'll hear the sound of a welding torch, and when Joey comes back, you'll be able to enter the storeroom.
When you enter the storeroom, there will be a can of WD-40 and a key on the other side of the room. There is also a gangway on the floor. If you right-click on it, you'll be able to flip it. Underneath the gangway is some putty. It's a small grey set of pixels on the floor, and you may have to move your cursor around until the word "Putty" pops up signifying that you found it. Right-click the putty to pick it up. You'll need it later.
You can also take the key and the WD-40 if you want, but when you leave the storeroom, the man with the storeroom will search you. If you have the WD-40 or the key, he will take those away. If you have the sandwich, Robert will let him have it. He will also take the dark shades off your hands.
There's nothing more to do here, so leave the factory. When you do, you'll see Lamb. From here, you can ask him some questions. You'll find out that he doesn't get out much outside of work and watches videos at home, and that his coat is made from the last ten free beavers in the world. You'll also find out that the factory does indeed produce pipes as well as ducts and conduits.
