HCBailly plays Final Fantasy II - Part 32 of 44

Now that we have all that we need, we enter...a fish. What.

All maps by Paco, except for the overworld map by Rick Bruns.

Leviathan

Aspil acts a little weird here compared to future games, as the target need not have MP in order for you to absorb MP from it.

Anyway, as you sail towards Mysidia Tower, the water will get really choppy and you'll end up...somewhere else. Layla will go missing.

The water here damages you, much like the lava in the first game.

The ElecFish may be Lightning-based, but they're also weak to Lightning.

The Spiral Helmet not only increases your Strength by 10, it's also a light piece of armor. Ditto for the Power Armor.

When you go up the stairs and talk to everybody, you'll find out that you're inside the large fish known as Leviathan, and that he also protects the magic seal on Mysidian Tower. (Why are there chairs, desks and bookcases in a fish?!?) Use the Crystal Rod on the guy blocking your path. He'll introduce himself as Richard of the Dragoon Clan, and he'll help you get past the beast blocking the path. Richard is still alive!
