Finally, we've got the Crystal Rod! Now we can head to Mysidia Tower!
All maps by Paco.
Mysidia Cave
In the middle of the maze, you'll meet a clone of yourself. This is "the drone." Talk to it and use the Black Mask on it.
Unlike future games in the series, the Molbors in this game can only Paralyze you.
There's a fake wall that makes it possible to get the Flame Javelin. Ditto for the Ice Bow (assuming you need it) and those five chests just at the end.
Enter the door in the center of the group of three near the end. You'll find a Phoenix Down, a Silent Bell (which Mutes enemies) and another Gold Needle.
The Brains can cause some nasty mischief with the Change spell, making it necessary to kill them as quickly as possible.
The Ghosts have a lot of HP. You're better off using Life on them, as Fire isn't going to kill them in one shot unless it's really powerful or single-targeted. Killing them quickly is crucial, as they can cast Stun 16.
The room in the upper-left corner of the last floor is the room you want to go to. Aspil is basically the Osmos spell. This spell can prove useful later once it's powered up a bit. You'll also find the Crystal Rod in the same room as the Aspil book! Score!
We're done here, so let's get out of this cave.
