Glad we're done here. This is probably the hardest part of the game.

Cave of Dist
The Poison Toads can Envenom you with their physical attacks. Aside from that, they're not really that difficult.
The chest with the Knight Armor spawns a battle with four Adamantoises. Four. Get your magic ready and be sure to Curse them before they can do some real damage in!
The Dragon Bean (DrgnBean) deals damage to all enemies on the battlefield.
When you reach the four doors, take the third one. You'll then find a monster guarding the Spring of Life. Talk to it to start the battle against the Chimera.
To beat the Chimera (or Chimeras, as you might get more than one unlike HCBailly), Curse it first. Then, wail on it. If you're fighting multiple Chimeras, curse them all before you do anything, and keep your party's HP high. They have 750 HP, so taking one down is possible in a few turns.
The Chimeras can cast Fire 7, which can be pretty powerful and hellaciously life-ending if you haven't Cursed them prior.
When you beat the Chimera(s), go up to the Spring of Life and use the Egg.
