HCBailly plays Final Fantasy II - Part 13 of 44

In this entry, we get the Goddess Bell only to fall straight into a trap!

All maps by Paco, except for the overworld map by Rick Bruns.

Snow Cave

One of the rooms isn't empty! Joy! Going inside will take you into a room full of beavers. (Yes, we're talking to beavers.) There is one standing still in the upper left corner of the room, and Guy will be able to know what he's talking about.

Ask this beaver about the Goddess Bell and you'll find out it's beyond the right-hand wall. Explore the wall and you'll eventually find out part of the wall is fake, and you can walk through it.

The red monster in the next room protects the Goddess Bell. Talk to it, and you'll start a boss battle.

To beat the Adamantoise (Adamanti), just use the IceWind on it. That's it.

Once you beat the Adamantoise, use the A button on the wall and you'll get the Goddess Bell.

When you try to use Exit, you won't be able to do anything because of an energy field in the Snow Cave. If you exit normally, however, you'll come face to face with Borgan.

To beat Borgan, use Fire and any equipped Mithril weapons on him. The less you have equipped on your characters, the better.

After you beat Borgan, a giant boulder will roll toward you. Josef will try to stop the boulder from killing you, and sacrifices himself in the process.

Salamando

When you return to Salamando, everyone will know that Josef is dead. Another woman will look after his daughter Nellie.

One of the people will tell you about the Chocobo Forest south of Kashuon.

Poft

Head to the pub and talk to Cid's assistant, so you can take the Airship to Kashuon. From there, just head out of the town and enter the Airship. You'll be there in a flash!
