HCBailly plays Final Fantasy II - Part 9 of 44

We create the Mithril weapons and head down to the Bofsk sewers in an attempt to destroy the Warship!

All maps by Paco, except for the overworld map by Rick Bruns.

Salamando

When you head back to Salamando and talk to the people. you'll find out that the men are back and that you should take the Mithril to Hilda in Altea. Sure, why not?

Talk to Josef first. You'll find out that the Dark Knight has taken charge, and that the Warship has been built ahead of schedule thanks to him.

You'll also find out about the Ice Sled, which lets you travel in the snow. Remember that blue stone tile in the Semite Cave? We'll have to head back to it to get the Ice Sled.

You should definitely get the Life spell once you have the Gil for it. It'll come in handy later on, especially once you've leveled it up a lot. Not only will you be able to replenish a lot of HP on downed party members, you'll be more successful at killing undead monsters with it.

Altea

Take the Mithril to Hilda. She'll tell you to take it to Tabul, so go to Tabul in the weapon shop. Give him the Mithril by choosing "Item" and then the Mithril, and he'll make the equipment. A second shopkeeper will appear next to the first one. Talk to him, and you'll be able to buy Mithril weapons. According to HCBailly, we'll be finding a Mithril Spear and a Mithril Cane soon. That's nice.

There's also a second shopkeeper at the armor shop, too. You'll also be able to buy Mithril armor here as well. It's less expensive than the weapons, so go for this stuff first.

Talk to Prince Gordon again. He'll be surprised that you found the Mithril. If you mention the Warship, he'll ask if there's anything he can do to help. You won't be able to do anything for him for now, though.

Go to the castle, and you'll get your next mission: head to Bofsk and destroy the Warship. If you talk to Hilda, she'll tell you about the Dark Knight that has recently joined the Paramekian Empire. Mention the Warship, and she'll tell you there's a group in Bofsk that's trying to sabotage it.

Bofsk

The townspeople will now talk to you. They'll tell you that you need a Pass to get on the Warship.

The guy standing around in the middle of the town is that corrupt jerk Borgan.

One of the helmeted guys south of Borgan is one of the rebels. Mention "Wild Rose" to him and he'll tell you who he is. He'll tell you to head through the sewers behind him to reach the Warship. Mention the sewers and he'll finally disappear, letting you through.

Bofsk Sewers

There's not a lot to this sewer. The Long Sword will come in handy.

Also, there are two fake walls in the first room.
