HCBailly plays Final Fantasy II - Part 12 of 44

As we make your way through the Snow Cave, we pick up some pretty useful items.

All maps by Paco.

Snow Cave

The IceWind casts a Level 16 Ice spell on all enemies. It can be potentially devastating when used against the right enemies. Be sure to keep the Ice book you find later in the cave handy, too.

The Icicles aren't pretty bad enemies, despite being more vulnerable to Fire than to regular weapons.

The Battle Axe will come in handy later on in the game.

The DuelHeads are pretty tough. Keep your HP high as you take these guys on, as they can take out over half of one of your characters' HP in a heartbeat.

Life is more likely to work outside of a battle than during one? Well, that sucks. Then again, HCBailly forgot to un-equip stuff prior to casting Life, which explains everything.

The chest containing the Ancient Sword contains a Shadow. The Shadow can cast the Blindness status on you, which drops your accuracy. They're not that difficult to get rid of if you've powered up Fire or any of your other spells.

The Ancient Sword is worth getting. Even though it has a low hit percentage, it inflicts the Curse status ailment on the target if it actually connects. It's best to place it in a character's item slot.
