HCBailly plays Final Fantasy II - Part 27 of 44

We get some powerful new equipment and amble our way into Mysidia...

All maps by Paco, except for the world map by Rick Bruns.

Castle Phin Basement

The Blood Sword is really useful for battle. Despite having absolutely no attack power, hitting an enemy with it will drain its HP. The amount you get is directly proportional to the strucken enemy's max HP. This is really good for bosses, as it makes it easier to keep one of your party members alive.

The chest with the Orhacon Knife contains Great Chimeras (GChimera). These guys can be somewhat powerful, and even though they can cast Fire 7 like the regular Chimeras, they can also cast Breath, which can Stone your entire party if you're unfortunate enough.

Besides being the most powerful knife weapon you've come across, the Orhacon is also super-effective against Water-based enemies.

The fifth door leads to the White Mask. There's no boss fight here (amazingly), so just head behind the chest and step on the teleport pad to leave the castle.

Overworld Map

Head south and west. You don't really get many clues on where Mysidia is, so you just have to hunt it down. Go south from Phin, then head west until you see the crescent-shaped mountain range. This is Mysidia Tower, but you won't be able to enter it yet. Go south and hit land, then go southwest until you see a small town. This is the town of Mysidia.

The Werewolves are a bit powerful, but you can take them on now. There's nothing really special about them.
