HCBailly plays Final Fantasy II - Part 17 of 44


In this entry, we enter the Warship and free Hilda and Cid.

All maps by Paco, except for the overworld map by Rick Bruns.


Warship


Go up to the guard blocking the path from the top of the stairs and use the Pass when you talk to him. This will get him out of your way.

Don't talk to any of the other captains here, as they can still annihilate you.

The Stunners are yellow Wererat palette swaps, and they can Stun you with their physical attacks.

Walk to the right through the wall to get the Sleep Sword.

The Thief Gauntlets have a huge Soul penalty, but they also increase your Agility by 10. Give it to a party member that's more focused on physical attacks than magic.

In the Famicom version, if you have another item that increases a certain stat and one of your equipped items is already boosting that stat, you won't be able to boost it any more with that second item.

Just correspond with the bars of the prison cell like you would a person, and you'll crack straight through them. Talk to Cid, and he'll tell you to throw the Sun Flame into the engine of the Warship. He'll escape along with Hilda (who is wearing a pink dress now).
