PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 65 of 92

In this entry, we finish up the Sand Kingdom. Next time, we start cleaning out the Wooded Kingdom.

First | Previous | Next | End

62. Secret Path to Tostarena! - This Power Moon is on the floating island in the sky to the southwest. There are two ways to get to it depending on where you went during the first fork in the road the game throws at you during the main game.

If you went to the Lake Kingdom first, you'll find the painting with the portal leading to the Power Moon in a small pool of water in the Courtyard of the Lake Kingdom.

If you went to the Wooded Kingdom first (like I did), the painting with the portal will be located behind an iron block on the iron wall near the Secret Flower Field in the Wooded Kingdom, which you can reach by going up the wall from the Station 8 checkpoint. You can also go straight to it from the Observation Deck via Glydon, which is the strategy that I use.

71. On the North Pillar - There is a tall pillar in the north side of the kingdom. The quickest way to get to it is the pylon going from the top of the Tostarena Ruins Round Tower to the Inverted Pyramid, and then the pylon towards the pillar. There are other pills leading here from the Northwest Reaches and the Moe-Eye Habitat, but this is the quickest one. Once you're above the Power Moon, you'll need to press ZL or ZR and maneuver yourself to the pillar as you drop down.

72. Into the Flowing Sands - There is a ramp of flowing sand in the western part of the Tostarena Ruins. You'll need to approach that ramp from the top and slid down to the Moon, but I give myself an advantage by warping to the top of the Round Tower.

76. On the Eastern Pillar - At the Tostarena Ruins, you'll need to lure a Bullet Bill to the pillars between the Tostarena Ruins and the Jaxi Ruins, capture it, and fly to the easternmost pillar, constantly shaking the controller of your choice while in Bullet Bill form the whole time. This took a bit of practice to pull off just the way I wanted to do it.

77. Caught Hopping in the Desert - West of Tostarena Town, there will be three rabbits near where the Moon Rock used to be. One of them has the Power Moon, and you'll need to chase that bunny to get it.

79. Taking Notes: Running Down - Near the southwest corner of the kingdom, there is a treble clef. Head down there with a Jaxi, then use the Jaxi to get the treble clef and all the notes that appear within the time limit. You'll get a Power Moon.

80. Taking Notes: In the Wall Painting - There will now be a treble clef in the 8-bit area in the Tostarena Ruins Round Tower where the Bullet Bills fire out in pairs. Grab the treble clef, then grab all the notes for a Power Moon.

82. More Walking in the Desert! - Head back to the Koopa who hosts the Koopa Trace-Walking minigame for a second round. You'll need to score at least 90 points to get a second Power Moon from him.

88. Through the Freezing Waterway - At the northeast edge of the kingdom, there is a Moon Rock Pipe. Go down it, then use the Gushens to get all the way to the right to the exit and this Power Moon.

89. Freezing Waterway: Hidden Room - At the first moving platform in the area where you find Power Moon #88, head up, then left. Get to the end of the corridor without hitting the poison or running out of water to get this hidden Power Moon.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 64 of 92

In this entry, we head back to the Sand Kingdom, activate the Moon Rock and sweep through the area for more Power Moons. We're now down to ten...

First | Previous | Next | End

The Moon Rock in the Sand Kingdom is near Tostarena Town between the town and the ruins. Hitting it with your cap will increase the maximum amount of Power Moons for the kingdom from 69 to 89.

66. Sand Kingdom Regular Cup - The race starts at the Tostarena Northwest Reaches, where you'll need to go to trigger the race in the first place. Long jump to start, and ride the Jaxi at the start and take it to town to easily get this Power Moon.

70. Mighty Leap from the Palm Tree! - At the Desert Oasis, there is a Power Moon above a palm tree. For best results, use the Desert Oasis checkpoint, then check the nearby tree that will be directly behind Mario when he warps to the checkpoint. You'll find it there.

73. In the Skies Above the Canyon - To get this Power Moon, you'll need to ride the moving platform near the Tostarena Ruins Round Rower checkpoint. Before the first platform drops down, you'll need to leap towards the Power Moon to get it.

74. Island in the Poison Swamp - This Power Moon will be on a small island in the southwest corner of the poison pond in the Jaxi Ruins area. Use the checkpoint to get straight to a Jaxi, then ride your way to it.

75. An Invisible Gleam - In the Moe-Eye Habitat, you'll need to get to the top of the pillar maze and ground pound the second pillar. The gleam is invisible unless you are looking through your sunglasses as a Moai. Ground pounding where the gleam is, invisible or not, nets you this Power Moon.

78. Poster Cleanup - At the Northwest Tostarena Ruins building, there will be a ton of posters for Bowser's failed wedding to Peach plastered on the walls. If you talk to the Tostarenan near the building, the will tell you that the building has more or less been desecrated by these things - seventeen, to be exact. Throw your hat at all of the posters to remove them and get a Power Moon as soon as you remove the last one. To get rid of the higher posters, you'll need to perform a backflip followed by a wall jump off the wall before throwing your hat.

81. Love at the Edge of the Desert - To get this Power Moon, you'll need to warp to the Tostarena Ruins Entrance, capture a Goomba, then head to the Tostarena Northwest Reaches area by foot as the Goomba. At the edge of the kingdom is a Goombette; walk up to her as the Goomba for a Power Moon.

83. Sand Kingdom Master Cup - After activating the Moon Rock and completing the Sand Kingdom Regular Cup, you can take on the Master Cup. The same strategy of using the Jaxi from the Regular Cup still applies, but the Gold Koopa will also use the Jaxi, and as a result, it will be right on top of you. Just watch for the column of light in the sky and move towards it to ensure you get to it, and make sure not to run into anything.

84. Where the Transparent Platforms End - There is a Moon Rock Pipe near Tostarena Town. Go down it, then take control of the Moe-Eye and use the ability to see invisible platforms to get to the Power Moon at the end. You'll be moving across several smaller invisible platforms before avoiding the invisible walls while riding one big platform. You'll need to do this as the Moe-Eye, and you'll need to quickly switch between wearing the sunglasses and not wearing the sunglasses in order to see the walls while remaining fast enough to get through the invisible maze you'll need to get through to the end without being pushes off the platform. The Power Moon will be at the end.

85. Jump Onto the Transparent Lift - While you're in the Moon Rock Pipe area at Tostarena Town, drop off the long platform that stays away from the other two short ones at the start. If you're using the Moe-Eye, this will be easy to figure out if you're looking through the sunglasses and moving the camera around to look for stuff. From that platform, fall to the right, and you'll land on a platform with a key. The platform is invisible if you're not looking through the sunglasses with the Moe-Eye at the start. Grab the key, then stay on the platform for a ride back to the start and the Power Moon that you just revealed.

86. Colossal Ruins: Dash! Jump! - There is now a Moon Rock Pipe at the Tostarena Ruins Entrance checkpoint. Enter it, then capture the spark pylon. When you get to the other side, the area you're at will slowly start sinking towards - and into - the poison below. You'll need to use the rocket flowers to get to the other end of the area and reach the Power Moon.

87. Sinking Colossal Ruins: Hurry! - While you're rushing towards Power Moon #28, you'll need to take a detour on the lower part of the ramp to get a key. Grab the key, then get to Power Moon #86. When you collect Power Moon #86, you'll open up a path back to the start, and since you have the key, Power Moon #87 will be there.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 63 of 92

In this entry, we finish up the Cascade Kingdom, then get the Sand Kingdom started.

First | Previous | Next | End

Cascade Kingdom

32. Under the Ground - This Power Moon is underneath the T-Rex; you'll need to destroy all of the rocks around it to find a light you'll need to ground pound for the Power Moon.

36. Cascade Kingdom Master Cup - You'll need to get the Regular Cup Power Moon for this. For the Master Cup, you'll need to do a jump immediately after a ground pound for a ground pound jump to save yourself some time, as the Gold Koopa will jump at a specific point to get ahead of everyone else. Get to that spot, do the ground pound jump, and carefully long jump your way to the finish line and you should get this Power Moon without much of a problem.

Sand Kingdom

63. Found with Sand Kingdom Art - There is some hint art on the side of one of the buildings in town in the Sand Kingdom. This is a reference to where the Crazy Cap store is in Bowser's Kingdom, and you'll need to count the number of stones on the path before ground pounding the part in the grass between them for a Power Moon.

64. Jammin' in the Sand Kingdom - One of the rooftops in Tostarena Town will have a Jammin' Toad. He will request a piece of music with the them of "Memories of a tough battle." Select any boss theme, and you'll get a Power Moon.

65. Hat-and-Seek: In the Sand - There is a line at the ice cream stand, and one of the people in line has eyes in the back of their head, both figuratively and literally. If you talk to that person, you'll find out that it is a Bonneter from the Cap Kingdom disguised as a sombrero. It turns out that there are two other Bonneters in town looking for him. He will give you a Power Moon for keeping his appearance on the down low.

67. Binding Band Reunited - Go back to where you fought Knucklotec and use the slingshot to get to the exit. The Binding Band will now be in its rightful place, and if you ground pound the diamond on it, you'll get a Power Moon.

68. 'Round-the-World Tourist - After getting the "A Tourist in the Mushroom Kingdom" Power Moon, head back to the Sand Kingdom and go back to where you first met the tourist and the taxi driver. Talk to the tourist for one last Power Moon.

69. Peach in the Sand Kingdom - Princess Peach and Tiara will be at the edge of the Inverted Pyramid; talk to them for a Power Moon.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 62 of 92

In this entry, we activate the Moon Rock in the Cascade Kingdom and pick up all but two of the unlocked moons.

First | Previous | Next | End

The Moon Rock in Cascade Kingdom is near where you faced Madame Brood for the first time. Activating it by attacking it will unlock Moon Rocks 26-40.

Power Moons

26. Bottom of the Waterfall Basin - This Power Moon will be underneath the column that you had to knock down during your first visit to this kingdom. Just get in the water and look for the glowing spot, then ground pound the glowing spot to get it.

27. Just a Hat, Skip and a Jump - Near the 8-bit area, there are some hat clouds leading to a platform with a Power Moon. Hit the hat clouds with your cap and be both quick and careful to turn them into platforms so you can get to this Power Moon.

28. Treasure Under the Cliff - Near the Stone Bridge checkpoint, there are some hat clouds. Turn them into platforms with your cap so you can wall jump to this Power Moon.

29. Next to the Stone Arch - At Fossil Falls Heights, this Power Moon will be mid-air next to a bridge. You'll have to drop down from the side of the bridge to get it.

30. Guarded by a Colossal Fossil - At Fossil Falls Heights, get on top of the huge Triceratops skull, then get to the nose and throw your hat at it. Hold the button down at the glowing spot to get a Power Moon.

31. Under the Old Electrical Pole - To get this Power Moon, you'll need to take control of the big Tyrannosaurus Rex in the level, take him back to the Odyssey and knock down the electrical pole before you lose control of him. Knocking down the pole reveals a light in the ground, and ground pounding it reveals a Power Moon.

33. Inside the Busted Fossil - At Fossil Falls heights, use a Chain Chomp near the Triceratops skull to break one of the fossil walls for a Power Moon.

34. Caught Hopping at the Waterfall! - There will now be a rabbit near the Crazy Cap Shop; catch it to get this Power Moon. Stay close and take a right immediately after it jumps off the cliff to easily get it.

35. Taking Notes: Hurry Upward - Head back to the 8-bit area to find a treble clef. Pick it up and get all the notes before time runs out to get a Power Moon.

37. Across the Mysterious Clouds - There is now a Moon Rock Pipe at the Stone Bridge checkpoint. Go down it and be ready to create hat cloud platforms and long jump on seesaw platforms when they lean to one side to get to the end and get this Power Moon. Those last few hat cloud platform jumps are tricky; you'll need to jump to the hat clouds, then throw your cap at them when you're right in front of them to get on the platform and save yourself.

38. Atop a Wall Among the Clouds - After the "grid" of hat cloud platforms that you have to create, you'll need to get on top of the ? Block and the bricks that you see and jump above the ? Block to reveal an invisible block. This will take you to two more hat cloud platforms that you'll have to make to open a path to this Power Moon.

39. Across the Gusty Bridges - Across from the column that you had to turn into a bridge, there is a Moon Rock pipe. Enter the Moon Rock Pipe, hit switches, avoid being blown around and avoid falling off to get to the Power Moon at the end.

40. Flying Far Away from Gusty Bridges - In the Moon Rock Pipe area, there is a switch that seems to be out of reach. Throw your cap into the nearby wind gust to hit and trigger the switch, and you'll lower another bridge. At the platform that you've just given yourself access to, throw your cap when both wind gusts are blowing to hit another switch and get this Power Moon.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 61 of 92

In this entry, we wrap up the Cap Kingdom and head to the Cascade Kingdom.

First | Previous | Next | End

Hey! That wasn't there before! When you activate Moon Rocks, Moon Rock pipes with square openings will pop up in places where they were not before. Enter them for a shot at another Power Moon or two.

Hitting a boombox with your cap will net you some songs for the Music List if you're looking for them.

Power Moons

Cap Kingdom

20. Under the Big One's Brim - This Power Moon is floating in the air below the top of Top Hat Tower (where you met the Broodals for the first time). You'll need to drop onto it from above to collect it.

21. Fly to the Edge of the Fog - To collect this Power Moon, you'll need to capture a Para-Goomba and fly to the flog in the northeast corner of the kingdom. Use your map and the compass to find it.

24. Fog-Shrouded Platform - Near the door leading to the "Searching the Frog Pond" and close to the Moon Rock Pipe in Central Plaza, there is a platform in the fog with a glowing light in the center. Ground pound that light for a Power Moon.

28. Cap Kingdom Timer Challenge 2 - In the southeast corner of Central Plaza, there will be a scarecrow. Throw your cap at it to activate some platforms. Get on the platforms as they are moving upwards to get the key and then get back to the Power Moon before time runs out.

29. Cap Kingdom Master Cup - You'll need to complete the Regular Cup and activate the Moon Rock to get this one. Once you do both of those things, talk to the Koopa at the Koopa Freeracing board to start this race. It's the same as before, but the Gold Koopa will roll across the bridge. Beat him at his own game by ground pounding when you jump the barricade, then roll along the bridge yourself, capture the Para-Goomba on the other side and fly towards the goal. When you're near the goal, get out of the Para-Goomba, triple jump up the hill and get to the goal.

30. Roll On and On - West of Central Plaza will be a Moon Rock pipe. Go down it, and once you go down the hill, Mario will start rolling. Avoid the Spinys, stay on the ground without falling off and make it to the end for a Power Moon.

31. Precision Rollings - Shortly after the start of where you find Power Moon #30, take the small side path to the left and stay on it for a hard-to-get Power Moon.

Cascade Kingdom

21. Peach in the Cascade Kingdom - Peach will be at the top of the 8-bit area in the Cascade Kingdom when she travels the world. Talk to her for a Power Moon.

22. Cascade Kingdom Regular Cup - Koopa Freeracing will be near the Odyssey. For this race, you'll need to get over the bridge with long jumps and triple jumps, then you'll need to make your way up the mountain to where the 8-bit area is. If you need to plot a course for whatever reason during these races, you can press the Minus button and look at the map to see where the goal is.

23. Caveman Cave-Fan - After defeating Bowser, there will be a citizen of the Cap Kingdom where you faced Madam Broode. Talk to him with the Caveman Headwear and the Caveman Outfit equipped for a Power Moon.

25. Sphynx Travelling to the Waterfall - Near the Odyssey, use the viewfinder to look high in the sky for the Sphynx on a balloon. Zoom in on him and look at him long enough for a Power Moon.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 60 of 92

The post-game has officially begun, and we head back to the Cap Kingdom and pick up some more Power Moons.

First | Previous | Next | End

We're going back to all the kingdoms we've been to, in order. Now that Bowser is beaten, there's a few more Power Moons in each world that we can pick up, and there's also a Moon Rock that we can activate for even more moons. We'll go for the post-Bowser Moons first, then activate the Moon Rock and get whatever is left.

Peach is now in all of the previous worlds and is taking a world tour with Tiara, and if you find her, she will give you a Power Moon. Believe it or not, you don't have to go through all the kingdoms again in order, despite what she says after giving you a Power Moon.

The Moon Rock is on an island in the fog. Fly to it with a Para-Goomba, then get out of the Para-Goomba and attack the Power Moon. You'll unlock Power Moons 19-31. When you do so, you'll get the locations of all the new Power Moons on your map and compass. If you missed any moons that were unlockable in the main game, you'll get the locations for those, too. Moon Rock Moons will have yellow X's (or numbers, in case there is more than one in a specific area), while pre-Moon Rock Moons will be in cyan.

Power Moons

12. The Forgotten Treasure - There is a Bonneter that you can talk to on top of a hat house, and if you talk to him, you'll trigger a quest for a lost treasure. You'll be going under the crates near the Crazy Cap Shop, the narrow passageway within the fog, Glasses Bridge, and the biggest hill in the Kingdom, which is near the Odyssey, before heading towards the Moon. When Cappy tells you that the Power Moon is not there and tells you where to go next, you're on the right track. The Power Moon will be at the steps just before the bridge near the Odyssey. Cappy will tell you that you're right on it when you are, and Mario will even look down on the ground and even kick on the exact spot if you're on it. Ground pound that spot for a Power Moon.

13. Taxi Flying Through Bonneton - In the Central Plaza, take control of the binoculars and take a look at the balloons flying about in the sky. One of them is a Taxi, and if you zoom in and focus on it for a few seconds, you'll get a Power Moon. It will land above a street light.

14. Bonneter Blockade - There is a Bonneter guarding a Power Moon inside of a house. He says he is not scared of anything including Para-Goombas. Find a Para-Goomba, take control of it and return to the house for a Power Moon.

15. Cap Kingdom Regular Cup - Koopa Freerunning will be near where you faced the Broodals. During this race, you'll need to get to the biggest hill in the kingdom near the Odyssey. Use the Ground Pound to save yourself time at the beginning, and keep long jumping and triple jumping where necessary to get this Power Moon.

16. Peach in the Cap Kingdom - After talking to the Toad outside Peach's Castle in the Mushroom Kingdom, you'll find Peach in all the other kingdom. You'll find Peach in the Cap Kingdom near the central plaza, and Tiara will be with her. She'll hand you a Power Moon. From here on out, you'll have to look for Peach in all of the other worlds for a Power Moon, so keep an eye out!

17. Found with Cap Kingdom Art - You'll need the Hint Art from earlier (see above) to unlock this one. Go up to where the Lochlady from the Water Kingdom is near the Odyssey in the Moon Kingdom and ground pound the ground behind her for this hidden Power Moon.

18. Next to Glasses Bridge - This one will be in plain sight once you activate the Moon Rock next to the bridge near the Odyssey.

19. Danger Sign - There is a skull sign in the fog near the Odyssey. After you activate the Moon Rock, there will be a Power Moon above it; fly up to it with a Para-Goomba.

22. Spin the Hat, Get a Prize - After activating the Moon Rock, get on the arch near the end of Glasses Bridge and hit the hat in the center with your cap. Instead of a coin, you'll get a Power Moon.

23. Hidden in a Sunken Hat - There is a light emanating from a top of a house in the fog near the second bridge (also known as Sometimes Bridge) once you activate the Moon Rock. Throw your hat at the pole on top of the house for a Power Moon.

25. Bird Travelling in the Fog - You'll need to get a Para-Goomba from a higher elevation to get this one. After you activate the Moon Rock, a bird will fly around surrounded by glowing lights. Chase after it and catch up to it to get a Power Moon.

26. Caught Hopping Near the Ship - On the biggest hill in the kingdom near the Odyssey, there is a rabbit. Catch it for a Power Moon. Throwing your hat at it makes this one easier.

27. Taking Notes: In the Fog - To the west of the Central Plaza, there is a Treble Clef in the fog. Grab it with a Para-Goomba, then fly around and get all the notes before time runs out to get a Power Moon.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 59 of 92

In this video, we collect the last of the boss rematch Power Moons in the Mushroom Kingdom, then begin the real post-game.

First | Previous | Next | End

21. Mushroom Kingdom Regular Cup - Win the first race against the Roving Racers in the first Koopa Freeracing race. Use the Rocket Flowers and your long jump to get to the castle.

22. Mushroom Kingdom Master Cup - Win the first race against the Roving Racers in the first Koopa Freeracing race. Use the Rocket Flowers and your long jump to get to the castle. Unlike the first race, the Purple Koopa is replaced with a Gold Koopa who will have better AI than the rest of the racers and will also go a lot faster than everyone else.

33. Tussle in Tostarena: Rematch - The tower in the southwest corner of the kingdom leads to this battle, which is a rematch against Knucklotec. Same strategies apply.

You'll need to avoid the fists as they smash the ground. If the hands hit one of the many diamonds on the ground, they will get smashed. Possess the hand, then hold Y and avoid the diamonds that the other hand tosses as you run right into Knucklotec's face. It can be a little difficult, as the free hand can sometimes change positions to block you with a projectile attack, but if you move wildly enough, you can make it to the face quickly enough.

Any diamonds with Hearts in them can be smashed by the hands to release the hearts if you need the health. Just stand there and move out of the way before the hand hits the ground.

After each hit, Knucklotec will create some diamonds that will land on the ground and become buried in the sand. Avoid those diamonds, and repeat the process. After the second hit, you'll need to avoid the fists when Knucklotec launches them at you from far away. When he has his hands up, open and to the sides, move up and down as you move around the arena so you don't get clapped. You'll soon be able to defeat Knucklotec on the third hit and get this Power Moon.

All throughout this rematch, however, you'll have to deal with the zombies that pop out of the ground from the Sand Kingdom. You'll need to stay on the move and avoid them while facing Knucklotec. Coming into this battle with a Life Up Heart is strongly advised.

36. Battle in Bubblaine: Rematch - The pipe in the lake where Dorrie is leads to this rematch. The same strategies apply, but this time, you're in the clouds and it is raining hard with no end in sight. As a result, you'll be able to fly around indefinitely without running out of water.

37. Blowup at Mount Volbono: Rematch - The tower closest to the Odyssey is the rematch with the Cookatiel. The same strategies apply, but this time, there will be three rotating rock columns in the soup. You'll also have to deal with those spiky fruits coming down from the lava that the Cookatiel spits out when you try to hit it.

41. Found with Mushroom Kingdom Art - You'll need to find this Hint Art first in order to unlock this Power Moon. Head back to the Cap Kingdom. Get on the bridge leading to the village, then line the tower up with the moon and ground pound near the guardrail. If you ground pound the right spot, you'll get a Power Moon.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 58 of 92

We're running out of Power Moons to hunt down in the Mushroom Kingdom, and that leads to playing a few of the boss rematches scattered all over the place.

First | Previous | Next | End

There are six boss rematches scattered throughout the Mushroom Kingdom, and each one will net you a Multi-Moon for winning again.

Power Moons

29. Yoshi's Feast in the Sea of Clouds - The stream near the Odyssey leads to a pipe. Eat the berry blocking the pipe as Yoshi, then enter the pipe as Mario. (You can enter it as Yoshi, but you'll turn back into Mario.) From here, you'll enter another cloud area where you can play as Yoshi. Your skills as Yoshi will be put to the test here, including your wall jump (for two berries) and a flutter jump (for the eels that keep popping out of the pits).

30. Sunken Star in the Sea of Clouds - To the left of the starting point is a hidden path to another Power Moon. If you go all the way around the level the other way, the last see-saw will take you down to that path.

34. Struggle in Steam Gardens: Rematch - This is the rematch with Torkdrift, the boss from the Wooded Kingdom. To get here, you'll need to find the seed for the vine in the Goomba Woods area, then throw it into the planter near where the tower is to get to the tower. As for the boss battle, the same strategies apply, but you now have those ring generators in the corners that will create even more rings of death that you'll have to avoid throughout the battle.

35. Dust-Up in New Donk City: Rematch - The tower northeast of the Odyssey will take you to this boss battle. It's a rematch with the Mecha-Wiggler from the Metro Kingdom...or rather, Mecha-Wigglers. You're facing two of them this time, and while the same strategies from last time apply, you'll be dealing with them from two Mecha-Wigglers simultaneously. Bringing a Life Up Heart to the battle is definitely recommended.

38. Rumble in Crumbleden: Rematch - Take control of Yoshi and eat the berry blocking the pipe in the moat. Afterwards, enter the pipe as Mario. You'll enter a room with a painting of the Dark Dragon from the Ruined Kingdom. Jump into the picture to fight the Dark Dragon again. Same strategies apply, and you'll get a Power Moon for it. Same strategies apply.

Stay on the move to avoid the purple energy as well as the chakrams that roll around that are created by it. The small mass of purple electricity on the floor indicates where the dragon is about to zap. When the dragon smacks his head on the floor, you'll need to jump over the electricity that courses along the floor. He will then be tired. This is your opportunity to jump onto the dragon's head and throw your hat at the hooks in the dragon's head. By removing all the hooks and ground pounding the glowing spot on the dragon's head afterwards before the dragon revives, you'll score a hit. In case the dragon wakes up, your progress with the hooks will stay the way that it is until you either lose all your health or complete the current attack phase.

There are four spots where you can ground pound the ground for a heart, should you need them. They will be indicated by glowing cracks in the ground.

For the second phase, you'll have to avoid more five chakrams instead of three, and the crackling energy will have slightly more complex patterns that look like double helixes. You'll also have to remove four hooks instead of three.

For the third phase, you'll have to avoid over a dozen chakrams and deal with crackling energy that forms loops that you'll need to jump between. You'll also have to deal with five hooks on the dragon's head, which means you may have to go through two attack loops to get the job done.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 57 of 92

We finally play as Yoshi and get the berry-related Power Moons out of the way in this entry.

First | Previous | Next | End

Yoshi is on the roof of the castle. We saw him last time, but this time, we're actually playing as him. Just remember that you have to throw your hat at the egg to break it, then throw your hat at Yoshi to take control of him. You can't jump on top of him like you can in other games. Once you're in control, you can press Y to stick out your tongue to eat things, and you can hold B while in mid-air to do the flutter jump and hover in mid-air temporarily. Shooting your tongue at walls will allow you to stick to walls, and you can press B from there to do a wall jump.

There are thirty berries in the Mushroom Kingdom, and you can get a few Power Stars from eating them all: three Power Stars for ten berries each. Any berries you eat will turn transparent upon re-entry into the Mushroom Kingdom, while those Yoshi has not eaten yet will be solid. Keep this in mind, as eating berries fills a gauge, and filling the gauge up gives you a Power Moon.

Yes, you can eat the Goombas as Yoshi, as usual. Doing this will give you coins.

There are some berries covering up pipes: one in the moat, and another underground in front of a stream near the Odyssey, east of the castle. Eat those berries so you can go through those pipes later.

Getting 500 Power Moon will unlock the Darker Side. This is where the game's ultimate challenge will be, and we won't head there until near the end of the Let's Play.

6. Gardening for Toad: Pasture Seed - Obtainable in the garden after planting this seed.

7. Gardening for Toad: Lake Seed - Obtainable in the garden after planting this seed.

13. Gobbling Fruit with Yoshi - Eat ten of the thirty berries in the Mushroom Kingdom as Yoshi for this Power Moon.

14. Yoshi's Second Helping! - Eat twenty of the thirty berries in the Mushroom Kingdom as Yoshi for this Power Moon.

15. Yoshi's All Filled Up! - Eat all thirty berries in the Mushroom Kingdom as Yoshi for this Power Moon.

26. Loose-Tile Trackdown - You'll need to ground pound eight loose floor tiles in Peach's Castle. They are in the following locations, in this order:

  1. Between the left and center stairs
  2. Between the left and center stairs, to the right of the first tile
  3. Up the stairs, to the right of the throne and above the hint art
  4. Near the hint art, next to the set of stairs on the right
  5. Right next to the bottom of the left stairs
  6. Up the stairs, near the left corner
  7. To the right of the center steps
  8. To the right in front of the throne

27. Totally Classic! - North of the castle near the stream in the Goomba Woods, there is a locked door. If you're wearing the Mario 64 Cap and the Mario 64 Suit, you'll be able to go in. On the other side is the courtyard from Super Mario 64 where you can could enter Big Boo Manor. Throw your hat at the statue in the middle of the fountain and hold the button to get this Power Moon.

28. Courtyard Chest Trap - In the area where you find Power Moon #27, there are eight treasure chests. Opening them all in the correct order will net you another Power Moon. Getting it wrong forces you to fight a few ghosts enemies, and makes it so that you'll have to start over. The chests to open and the order to open them in is as follows:

  1. To the right of the fountain (it's the one with the coins revolving around it)
  2. Left chest behind the fountain
  3. Right chest behind the fountain
  4. Left chest at the entrance (In other words, left from when you came in. It's the right chest if you're actually looking at the door like you're about to exit.)
  5. Right chest at the entrance (In other words, right from when you came in. It's the left chest if you're actually looking at the door like you're about to exit.)
  6. Left of the fountain
  7. Right grass chest
  8. Left grass chest

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 56 of 92

We get the last three Regional Coins in the game, get the last two seeds planted, then start hunting for even more Power Moons in the Mushroom Kingdom.

First | Previous | Next | End

The Music List is one of the most interesting things in post-game. Just press the Minus button, then press Y to enter the menu. You can then go anywhere with any music from the game that you want, so if you want to go everywhere with the Steam Gardens theme playing, go nuts.

There is a scarecrow near Peach's castle that lets you get on the roof, and there is another on the roof that allows you to get to the center tower and climb all the way up to see the entire kingdom.

You can drain the moat around the castle. Just go underwater and throw your cap at the four stakes to empty it.

Power Moons

1. Perched on the Castle Roof - This Power Moon is above one of the towers of Peach's Castle. You can backflip and then hat toss jump to reach the spire to climb up it and get this.

10. Found at Peach's Castle! Good Dog! - Go up to the dog at the fountain and follow him around to find a bunch of coins, then take him to a small hill near the Odyssey. The dog will find a glowing spot, which you can ground pound for a Power Moon.

12. Herding Sheep at Peach's Castle - To get this Power Moon, you'll need to find six sheep and bring them back to the sheep pen in the southwest corner of the kingdom. Two are near the Odyssey, one is near the pen itself, one is in the Goomba Woods area with the brown dirt, one is near the well containing the 8-bit area, and one is near the rocket near the Goomba Woods. Bring them all back to the sheep pen for a Power Moon.

16. Love at Peach's Castle - You'll need to drain the castle moat, then head to the Goomba Woods checkpoint and make a stack of at least eight Goombas. There are ten in all, though, and you can use all ten if you want. Take the stack of Goombas back to the lady Goomba at Peach's Castle for a Power Moon.

17. Toad Defender - There is a Toad near Goomba Woods guarding a Power Star, and he will mention that he is keeping it away from the Goombas. Take control of a Goomba and bring it back to this Toad to scare him off and get the Power Moon.

19. Jammin' in the Mushroom Kingdom - There is a Toad near the fountain near the Odyssey with headphones on. If you talk to him, he will tell you that he is looking for a song with the theme "flat 'n blocky classic." This will introduce you to the music list, which you can access at any time with the Minus Button and pressing Y. Any song with "8 bit" in parentheses in the title will do, and when you select one of those, you'll get this Power Moon.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 55 of 92

Our Power Moon collection in the Mushroom Kingdom continues...

First | Previous | Next | End

In the 8-bit area inside the well, you'll need to stay in the black area to stay in 2D; otherwise, you'll turn back to 3D and fall down a bottomless pit. For the flag stair blocks, you'll need to hold the run button to speed over the gaps. As for the final part of all that, don't hold the run button while jumping to give yourself an easier time. You'll then enter rotating 2D areas, and you'll need to rotate the left stick in order to keep up with it and not revert back to 3D while avoiding the Black Fuzzys. The area you need to get to is an upside-down pipe; this takes you to one final section that will take you to a Power Moon.

Power Moons

2. Pops Out of the Tail - There is a tree near the Odyssey with a branch that looks like the tail on Raccoon Mario from Super Mario Bros. 3. Throw your hat at the branch and hold the button down for a Power Moon.

4. Gardening for Toad: Garden Seed - Bring this seed to the pots in the garden and get the Power Moon when it matures.

5. Gardening for Toad: Field Seed - Bring this seed to the pots in the garden and get the Power Moon when it matures.

9. Mushroom Kingdom Timer Challenge - Northeast of the castle is a scarecrow. Throw your hat at the scarecrow, then get on the nearby scooter and get the Power Moon before time runs out. You'll want to keep the scooter within a hat toss' reach of the scarecrow for best results.

31. Secret 2D Treasure - You'll need to get through the entire 8-bit area inside the well in one shot to get this Power Moon.

32. 2D Boost from Bullet Bill - In the 8-bit area inside the well, you'll need to jump off a Bullet Bill to get a Power Moon.

23. Picture Match: Basically Mario - Northeast of the castle (or near the brown dirt area, or near the Toad with the tent who tells you that Captain Toad is at the Crazy Cap Store, depending on which is easier to remember), there is a Mini Rocket. Throw your hat at it to teleport yourself to a picture match puzzle where you have to recreate a picture of Mario. You'll have to score at least 60 points to get this Power Moon. Keep in mind that when you place something on the picture, it disappears.

24. Picture Match: A Stellar Mario! - Once you get Power Moon #23, you can get this Power Moon. This time, you need no less than 80 points, and this time, you'll have only the base outline for Mario to work with and nothing else. I had to draw on my TV screen with a Sharpie much like NintendoCapriSun did just to make this one easier, then wash it off with water (thankfully, it came off).

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 54 of 92

I found nearly all of the Regional Coins in this area. It won't be long until my search for them comes to an end.

First | Previous | Next | End

It's time for the Mushroom Kingdom. Once again, it should be mentioned that the Power Moons are in the shape of Power Stars from Super Mario 64. Nevertheless, they will be referred to as Power Moons.

If you talk to the Toad in the top hat at the castle entrance, you'll find out that Princess Peach has gone missing again. This triggers the flag that causes Princess Peach to appear in all the other kingdoms you've been in, which will lead to a load of Power Moons.

If you talk to the Archivist Toadette at the throne, she will tell you that she is keeping track of her achievements throughout the game, and you'll unlock a ton of Power Moons as a result. She'll give you the one for rescuing Princess Peach for free. You won't get any of the other achievement-based Power Moons until you talk to her again.

Moon Kingdom

19. Thanks, Captain Toad! - Captain Toad will be near all the other people near the Odyssey. Talk to him for a Power Moon.

27. Found with Moon Kingdom Art - You'll need the Hint Art from the Wedding Hall to find this one. Head back to the beginning of the mountain and head off to the side where the Scarecrow is, then pound the ground in the corner for this Power Moon.

Snow Kingdom

33. Secret Path to Shiveria! - There are two ways to get this Power Moon, and it depends on which choice you made on the second forth.

If you pick the Snow Kingdom over the Seaside Kingdom, you'll find the portal to this in a portrait in the ground between some trees near the Odyssey in the Mushroom Kingdom. This is the path that I take.

If you pick the Seaside Kingdom over the Snow Kingdom, you'll find the portal in a portrait behind the left building at the Main Courtyard Entrance in Bowser's Kingdom. You won't be able to access this Power Moon until after you beat Bowser in the main game, however. It's at one of the two tiny buildings surrounded by sand, and I found this picture frame before. Had I picked Seaside Kingdom first, I would have been able to use it.

Mushroom Kingdom

3. Caught Hopping at Peach's Castle - There is a bunny hopping around in the garden to the east. Catch it for a Power Moon.

8. Grow a Flower Garden - There are two circles of sprouts near the garden. Throw your hat around in a circle to grow them all in one fell swoop and get a Power Moon.

11. Taking Notes: Around the Well - West of the castle is the well. Around it is the 8-bit area. Go in, grab the treble clef, run all the way back out and get the notes along the way, then get the notes outside before time runs out to get this Power Moon.

18. Forever Onward, Captain Toad! - Captain Toad will on the roof of the Crazy Cap Shop. Talk to him for a Power Moon.

20. Shopping Near Peach's Castle - Buy a Power Moon from the Crazy Cap Shop in the Mushroom Kingdom.

25. Light from the Ceiling - Inside the castle, stand on the sun rug in the center and look up at the sun on the ceiling. Instead of being taken to another world to unlock the Wing Cap, you'll get a Power Moon in a nice reference to Super Mario 64.

40. A Tourist in the Mushroom Kingdom! - You'll need to have collected "A Tourist in the Moon Kingdom!" in the Moon Kingdom for this one. When you have, the taxi, the driver and the tourist will all be here, and you can get this Power Moon. This Power Moon is the last in the chain involving the taxi and the tourist, and after this, the tourist will head back to the Sand Kingdom.

44. Rescue Princess Peach - Talk to the Archivist Toadette at the throne in the castle for the first time to get this one.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 53 of 92

While we have access to the Mushroom Kingdom now, we still have some unfinished business on the moon...so let's take care of it, shall we?

First | Previous | Next | End

While we have access to the Mushroom Kingdom, we still have unfinished business on the moon. Some moons will now be available now that Bowser is defeated.

When you return to the moon, you'll find out that the Moon Rock is glowing. This will also be happening in all of the kingdoms. We won't be messing with the Moon Rocks yet, however.

The Crazy Cap Shop will finally be available near the Odyssey, so you can buy a Power Moon and spend the Regional Coins you found here. You can also buy Power Moons in bulk, ten at a time, if you have the money. This is the only way to get 999 Power Moons, but as promised, all the Power Moons that can be found through exploring the game will get found before I take advantage of this.

There will also be a ton of costume pieces that will be available now that Bowser has been beaten. If anything has the word "Special" near it, it is a costume piece from the game's digitally downloaded updates from around the time the game came out in 2017 and 2018. I will be buying all of these things as well. You'll want to get the Doctor Headwear and the Doctor Outfit, since we'll be needing it later.

You'll see people from various Kingdoms near the Odyssey looking at the Earth in the background. Now that Bowser is gone, everyone is free to travel without having to deal with Bowser and his shenanigans.

If you meet the tourist from Tostarena here, you'll find out he's going to the Mushroom Kingdom next after you get the Power Moon he gives you.

Luigi will now show up in all of the kingdoms when you beat Bowser. He has a mini-game called Balloon World, and it involves Internet connectivity. You pick a balloon that has been placed by another player who has the game, and if you can find it within a time limit, you'll get coins. If you fail to find it, however, the player who placed it will get coins. You can also place your own balloon and challenge others place to come find it. This is a pretty good way of getting coins - assuming that the servers for this are still working when you come across this guide - if you can place it in a spot that not many people will be able to find it. If your balloon does get found, however, you'll have to place it in another location.

There are two portraits near where you fought Bowser. One of them is empty and will be filled in with something later, but the other has a picture of Bowser. If you jump into it, you can play the final stretch of the game again.

There is Hint Art in the Wedding Hall when you enter now. It shows Poochy in the Wooded Kingdom near a corner near a scarecrow. Remember that for later.

15. Sneaking Around in the Crater - Near the Odyssey, there is a moving, glowing bump in the crater. Throw your hat at the bump to stun it, then ground pound it to get this Power Moon.

16. Found on the Moon, Good Dog! - There is now a dog near the Crazy Cap shop. Take the dog down the ramp leading downward and take it to the corner with the platform with the scarecrow on it. The dog will find this Power Moon.

17. Moon Shards on the Moon - There are five Moon Shards near the Wedding Hall. Some are on the ground, and others are on the roof and will require the frog to collect. Find them all to reveal a Power Moon above the entrance.

18. Moon Quiz: Amazing! - After getting Power Moon #24 (see below), you need to answer the rest of the Sphynx's questions. Answering all five correctly nets you a Power Moon. Here are the answers:

What type of flower did the traveler offer the bride? Rocket Flower

Which animal can't be found in this land? Sheep

The objects that fell on all the kingdoms of the world were what kind of rock? Moon

Where is the secret entrance to the Wedding Hall in this kingdom? Below the bell

How did I travel to this place? Floated by airship sail

20. Shopping in Honeylune Ridge - Once the Crazy Cap Shop is available on the Moon, you can buy this Power Moon.

21. Walking on the Moon! - Near a large crater near the rolling rock columns, you'll find a Koopa Trace-Walking mini-game. You'll need to earn 80 points or more to earn this Power Moon. I still can't figure out how I scored 89.

23. Doctor in the House - There is a Shiverian in the Wedding Hall who has a stomachache from overeating. If you talk to him while wearing the Doctor Headwear and Doctor Outfit, he will give you a Power Moon.

24. Sphynx's Hidden Vault - The Sphynx has more questions when you beat Bowser.

If you answer one of them correctly, the Sphynx moves aside, and you an go in and open the treasure chest with your cap to get a Power Moon.

25. A Tourist in the Moon Kingdom! - You'll need to beat Bowser and collect "A Tourist in the Luncehon Kingdom!" to get this Power Moon. Once you do, the taxi, the taxi driver and the tourist from Tostarena will be near the Odyssey, and you'll be able to get this one.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 52 of 92

In this entry, we beat Bowser and end the main game, but we're not done yet...

First | Previous | Next | End

We're all done here. Head into the Wedding Hall, then smash the door with the hat on it with Cappy. You'll show up just in time for the wedding, but when you approach Bowser and Peach, Bowser activates a trap door sending you to the final battle.

Throw your hat at Bowser's hat when Bowser throws his hat at you. From here, you'll want to run towards Bowser and punch him repeatedly. As you do this, you'll need to jump over the rings of fire that Bowser produces as he jumps around. When he starts throwing rocks, go straight towards Bowser and punch the rocks that come straight at you while avoiding the rocks that get thrown to the side. You'll finally catch up to Bowser. Keep punching him, and when Bowser turns around and shows his flaming tail, be ready to jump over it before hitting the knockout blow.

From here, you'll want to get away from him. When Bowser jumps to the center, run back and forth away from the fire blast and use the sideways jump to jump over the fire when it catches up to you. He will then throw multiple hats. The purple ones are fake; go for the white one and throw your hat at it. From here, the pattern repeats, but this time, he throws flaming spiked balls that cannot be punched out; you'll need to avoid them entirely. Bowser will also swing his tail twice once you start punching him. You'll want to jump over it both times.

You'll get the fire blast you'll need to jump over again, then Bowser will throw even more hats. You know what to do here. Avoid or take out the purple hats, capture the white hat, catch up to Bowser, avoid the spiked balls, punch him repeatedly. He will swing his tail three times in succession, and before you can hit the knockout blow, he swings it one more time. Jump over it for the final time and punch him for the final hit.

Once you beat Bowser, walk up to him and peach. Moon rocks will start falling, and everyone will fall into a pit. You'll end up in an underground cavern. Catch up to Bowser and Peach, and watch out for the falling pieces of floor. Throw your hat at Bowser to take control of him, and enjoy the references to earlier games once Mario is inside of Bowser.

Y attacks, B jumps and shaking the controller breathes fire. You'll need to punch through the walls at the beginning, then run across the moon rocks while avoiding the rocks that are falling from above. When you see the column, repeatedly press Y to claw through it and knock it down.

You'll then enter an 8-bit area. While you're inside, you'll want to hurry to the top as fragments of the tower start falling down. Destroy the blocks by jumping into them from below or using your Y button attack, which will be a fireball just like in Super Mario Bros. Once you get out, you'll need to claw through the cracked walls again. You'll soon come across a wall made of moon rock. Repeatedly claw at it to turn it gold and break it...but you're not done yet.

You'll need to slash at the four columns in the next room with the Y button, but as you do this, the fragments of the floor will turn gold and fall when you walk on them! You'll also have to deal with debris falling from above again, and these pieces of debris will split into smaller rocks that move in the cardinal directions. For best results, keep jumping as you move from column to column, and run around each column in a circle as you claw at them.

As you break columns, more parts of the floor and turn gold, so watch where you're going. Once you destroy all four columns and reveal the rock in the center, slash at the rock, then slash at the moon rock to reveal a pylon. Jump into the pylon and hold Up on the left stick to get out of here.

Once you end up back on the Moon, Peach and Mario will be safe, and Cappy and Tiara will reunite. Bowser gets back up, and he and Mario fight over Peach, who finally has enough and leaves with Cappy and Tiara back to the Odyssey. As the Odyssey takes off with Peach, Cappy and Tiara on it, Mario and Bowser try to catch up. This ends the game, but we're not done yet! Now that we've beaten the main game, we have unlocked a whole slew of Power Moons throughout all of the kingdoms, and we're going to go back to the beginning and grab them all.

Before that happens though, we get the credits, then we end up in the Mushroom Kingdom near Peach's Castle. We have another set of Power Moons to get and one more set of Regional Coins to grab, and now that we have over 250 Power Moons, we can head over to the Dark Side, which is past the Moon Kingdom. Cappy will stick with you for the post-game, and we'll start the post-game in the next video...

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 51 of 92

We get the last of the collectibles for the main game. Next stop: the final fight with Bowser.

First | Previous | Next | End

At the end of the kingdom is the Wedding Hall. Before going in to confront Bowser, look behind the Wedding Hall for a frog. From there, you can use the high jump to get to the rooftop and find the last of the Regional Coins and the final Power Moons that you can collect before beating Bowser.

Power Moons

3. The Tip of a White Spire - At the roof of the Wedding Hall, there are lights around the top of a spire. Throw your hat at it and hold the throw button down to get this Power Moon.

11. Around the Barrier Wall - From the tower that shoots the smaller Bullet Bills, you can capture a smaller Bullet Bill and go back. From here, you can possess a huge Bullet Bill again, then go further back for this Power Moon. This one takes a bit of exploration to find and can be easily missed.

12. On Top of the Cannon - Take control of the Giant Bullet Bill. The tower firing the smaller Bullet Bills near the end will have a Power Moon hidden at the top. Get on the tower, then ground pound the center of it for a Power Moon.

13. Fly to the Treasure Chest and Back - When you capture and possess the giant Bullet Bill in the underground cavern, turn right and head towards the huge, tower-like structure. There will be a chest containing a Power Moon.

14. Up in the Rafters - At the Wedding Hall rooftop, there is a hole underneath the bell. Drop down the hole to land in the rafters. Here, you can find a Power Moon.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 50 of 92

We're almost there. It's time to head to the Moon Kingdom and get everything before we face Bowser.

First | Previous | Next | End

There's nothing left to do in Bowser's Kingdom, so it's now time to head to the Moon Kingdom.

Bowser's Moon Wedding

Now that you're in the Moon Kingdom, remember that you are on the moon, and as a result, gravity will be reduced. Your jumps will go higher as a result, much like in the Space Zone of Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins.

The floating octopus enemies are much like Mollusque-Lanceur, the boss from the Seaside Kingdom; jump so you're above them, ground pound them on the head. That'll get rid of them.

The rotating rock columns are also back from the Seaside Kingdom. You'll want to jump over them to avoid them.

The Sphinx is right here. He will ask you if you should be answering questions right now. The correct answer is "No." You get nothing for this...yet.

You'll eventually enter a cave that leads to an underground cavern area inside the moon full of molten lava and metal platforms. From here, you'll be possessing Dry Paratroopas to fly over the lava as well as the occasional Sherm to shoot something down. You'll also need to avoid the lava plumes that shoot out of the lava.

The ground pound switch activates a moving platform. Get on the platform and take control of a Hammer Brother to get rid of a walls, then grab a Tropical Wiggler to get past the second platform section. You'll then meet a huge Bullet Bill. Possess it and fly forwards to dry land. From there, ground pound the switch here and use the Moe-Eye to get past the invisible platforms before time runs out and the platforms disappear.

After another spark pylon, you'll meet a familiar foe: the Chargin' Chuck! Hit him twice with your cap to knock his helmet off and eventually possess him, then hold Y to charge up his tackle attack and release Y to unleash it. While you're tackling, you can not only destroy the constant barrage of boulders rolling towards you, but you can break blocks to reveal hidden stuff.

You'll then face Madame Broode again. Thankfully, the fight against her is the same as the one in the Cascade Kingdom, so the strategies from there still apply...to a point. This time, you have to throw your hat at the golden Chain-Chomp to remove the top hats from its head before you can possess it and send it back at Madam Broode. Once again, three hits will seal the deal, and once you beat here, you'll be able to leave the underground caverns and head to the Ever-After Hill checkpoint. You'll want to trigger this checkpoint so that you can skip this cavern (unless you've missed something).

There is a ground pound symbol on a panel on the top of the Odyssey; if you ground pound it, you'll enter the Odyssey from the roof.

Power Moons

1. Shining Above the Moon - There is a crater near the Odyssey. There are some hidden blocks directly above the shadow of the Power Moon above. Jump up from the shadow for the first one, then get on the hidden block to reveal another. There are three in all, and you'll need them to reach this Power Moon.

2. Along the Cliff Face - There is a platform off to the side near the Odyssey area; you may have to pan the camera downwards to find it. This platform also leads to an 8-Bit area; run to the left and avoid the Black Fuzzies to get to the Power Moon here.

4. Rolling Rock on the Moon - One of the large craters in the Moon Kingdom contains a rock that flashes when moved into. Keep moving into it and kicking it to reveal this Power Moon.

5. Caught Hopping on the Moon! - There is a rabbit on the southeast side of the kingdom; run into it to catch it and grab this Power Moon. The rabbit will take advantage of the low gravity...so use your hat!

6. Cliffside Treasure Chest - Near the Ringing-Bells Plateau checkpoint, there is a Rocket Flower you can grab to leap to a far-off platform. This platform has a chest that contains a Power Moon.

7. Moon Kingdom Timer Challenge 1 - There is a platform off to the side past the slope past the Odyssey. Throw you hat at the scarecrow here, then long jump your way to the Power Moon and jump to it.

8. Taking Notes: On the Moon's Surface - Near the Ringing-Bells Plateau checkpoint, there is a large cliff with an octopus and a treble clef. Grab the treble clef and use your long jump to grab all the notes and nab this Power Moon.

9. Under the Bowser Statue - There is a green capture ball near this Bowser statue at the beginning of the underground cavern. Throw your hat at this ball to move the Bowser statue and reveal a Power Moon.

10. In a Hole in the Magma - At the spark pylon shortly after the start of the underground cavern area, take control of a Dry Paratroopa in order to enter a nearby hole in the lava. You'll find a key inside. This will unlock a Power Moon back at that pylon that you can collect.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 49 of 92

In this entry, we clean out Bowser's Kingdom...for now. Next stop: the moon.

First | Previous | Next | End

The Regional Coins near the giant golden Bowser head can be jumped to just by jumping onto the nearby lanterns, and you can even climb on the chains. Whenever you're on a lantern, it will stop shaking so that you can concentrate on moving and getting the Regional Coins there.

Power Moons

9. Past the Moving Wall - On the left side of the Beneath the Keep area, there is a wall that you can latch onto with a Pokio. There will also be a set of moving walls that will take you to this Power Moon.

10. Above the Poison Swamp - This Power Moon is on the northeast corner of the lava pool at the Beneath the Keep checkpoint.

11. Knocking Down the Nice Frame - Take control of Lakitu near the Beneath the Keep checkpoint and get to the northwest corner of the lava pool. Use the slingshot to get on the roof, then go down the front of the room and hit the frame with the flashing lights hanging off the center from behind with Cappy. The frame will fall into the lava and you'll get a Power Moon.

12. Caught on the Iron Fence - This one is way too easy to miss. There are Bowser heads crafted onto the columns of the small iron gate behind the Odyssey, and one of the heads faces away from the platform rather than towards it. Press and hold the Y button when you throw your hat at this Bowser head to reveal a Power Moon.

13. On the Giant Bowser Statue's Nose - Believe it or not, you can drop down onto the nose of the giant golden Bowser head at the top of the Beneath the Keep area. If you ground pound there, you'll find a Power Moon.

31. Scene of Crossing the Poison Swamp - You'll need the Samurai Helmet and the Samurai Armor for this Power Moon. Equip them both, then go to the other side of the Crazy Cap Store. You'll find a locked door, and you'll need to dress like a Samurai to open it. Go in, and you'll find the Power Moon in a pipe leading into an 8-bit area. Just complete the three short sections with the mushroom platforms that sink down when you step on them as well as the moving platforms from Super Mario Bros. and you'll find the Power Moon at the end. For the final section, jump on and kick the Koopa, then jump over the shell as you stand on the mushroom platform so that the Koopa can break the bricks without you getting hurt.

32. Taking Notes: In the Folding Screen - In the 8-bit area where you found Power Moon #31, you'll find a treble clef. Grab it, then use the platform moving around to get all the notes for another Power Moon.

PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 48 of 92

Now that Bowser and the Broodals are gone, it's time to get everything else in Bowser's Kingdom.

First | Previous | Next | End

8. Sunken Treasure in the Moat - This is found in the pool of water to the left past the Main Courtyard checkpoint. Just dive down and follow the path to get this Power Moon.

15. Caught Hopping at Bowser's Castle! - At the top of the keep, there are two rabbits. Chase and catch the one on the right for a Power Moon; the left one only gives you a coin.

17. Bowser's Kingdom Timer Challenge 1 - After beating the Broodals' robot, return to the site of that boss fight for another checkpoint as well as a scarecrow. Throw Cappy at the scarecrow, then jump up the platforms and get the Power Moon before time runs out.

27. Fishing(?) in Bowser's Castle - At the Beneath the Keep Checkpoint, you'll want to head to the east side and look for Lakitu. Possess Lakitu and look for the shadow of the big fish. Catch the fish to find Poochy instead of a Cheep-Cheep and get this Power Moon.

30. Bowser's Castle Treasure Vault - At the Beneath the Keep Checkpoint, you can either go to the east and use a Pokio to get up the wall, or you can get to the roof, head east and drop down. Either way, you'll find this room with a ton of coins and a treasure chest containing a Power Moon.

33. On Top of the Spinning Tower - There is a pool of purple poison near the Beneath the Keep checkpoint. Near it is a set of doors, and to open the doors, you'll need to defeat the nearby Stairface Ogre. Inside is an area where you'll need to take control of a Pokio to climb up a tower and find the Power Moon at the top. Watch out for the spinning segments!

34. Down and Up the Spinning Tower - Once again, you'll need a Pokio. You'll need to get on the other side of the tower near the bottom in the area where you found Power Moon #33. There, you'll find an alcove containing a key. Grab the key, then climb up the tower. You'll find the Power Moon at the top.

35. Jizo's Big Adventure - There is a Warp Pipe in the Showdown Arena area that leads to a puzzle that requires placing Jiro statues on P switches. Thankfully, being in a Jiro statue protects you from being stung by spikes. You'll need to open a path leading to the exit in the center to get this Power Moon.

36. Jizo and the Hidden Room - In the area where you find Power Moon #35, you'll need to place a Jiro statue on the P switch near the pipe that you came into the area from. You'll need to head back to the exit, then wall jump and cap jump off the remaining wall into the alcove in the center of the wall for a Power Moon.
