PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Odyssey - Part 74 of 92

Now that the post-Bowser Power Moons have been collected, it's time to activate the Moon Rock. We won't be in the Metro Kingdom for much longer.

First | Previous | Next | End

The Metro Kingdom Moon Rock is near the Odyssey. Activating it will bring the amount of available Power Moons from 59 to 81.

There is an NPC in the Mayor Pauline Commemorative Park that tells you that Pauline once had a treasure purse, but she lost it. This is the only other clue to knowing that you need to give Pauline a purse, but we've gotten that Power Moon already.

67. Hanging Between Buildings - There is a triangular shaped building with a ground pound switch, and you can easily see that switch from the New Donk City Hall checkpoint. The platform it generated was merely for transportation at the start, but now you can use it to get a Power Moon. Just get under it and backflip.

68. Crossing Lines - At the Rooftop Garden checkpoint, there will be a Power Moon above a pylon path. If you can jump up at the right time, you'll be able to get it.

69. Out of a Crate in the Sky - Near the Outdoor Café checkpoint, there is a rooftop with a crate containing flashing lights. Break the create, and the Power Moon will land on the Banana Bagels sign nearby. You'll need to hat jump and dive jump to get to this one.

70. Bird Traveling in the Park - There is a bird with flashing lights that flies around the Mayor Pauline Commemorative Park area and nowhere else. It's really easy to catch because of that; you just need to get your height right. Tag the bird, then get the Power Moon.

72. Found in the Park! Good Dog! - There is a Nintendog in the Mayor Pauline Commemorative Park sitting in the corner. Walk up to the dog to befriend it, then the dog will dig around and reveal things. In another corner, the dog will find a Power Moon.

73. RC Car Champ! - Head back to the RC Car Challenge course. This time, you'll need to complete three laps in 26 seconds or less. Remember that you only turn right before and after the start; the rest of the time, you'll be turning left.

75. Hat-and-Seek: In the Crowd - Remember the area full of people walking in the building near the Outdoor Café checkpoint? As it turns out, one of them is a Bonneter, and if you talk to them from behind, you'll get a Power Moon. You'll have to look at everyone up close to find him, but he's there.

76. Scaling Pitchblack Mountain - Near the Heliport checkpoint, there is a Moon Rock pipe near where you found the purse. In this area, you'll need to avoid the Stairface Ogres and climb up the big blue mountain of platforms by jumping off the staircases as the ogres raise them up to reach the top and get a Power Moon.

77. Reaching Pitchblack Island - If you head to the back of the mountain, you'll find an island separated by the purple lava. Throwing your hat will reveal some invisible blocks that you can use as a bridge to get there. On the island is a light on the ground that you can ground pound for another Power Moon.
