Now that we can play as Ratchet on Orxon, we have two new roads to take. We're taking the left one today.
Kogor Refinery - Orxon
Now that you have the O2 Mask, you'll be able to play as Ratchet on Orxon from now on. Remember that gray platform off the edge that you couldn't get to at all with Clank? Well, you can get there now, and you can explore even more of the planet.
Aside from the aliens with the crab-like claws, you'll have bird enemies that will divebomb you if you're close enough and blue flying creatures called Screamers that will wake up the crab claw aliens. The two flying enemies can easily be dispatched with the Blaster. As for the crab claw aliens, you can use your Blaster as well as your wrench. Just throw the wrench when they approach after you get a certain distance towards them.
The platforms with the yellow edges are see-saw platforms. If you stand on one, the other rises up. Keep hopping to bring the platform you're on back up.
At the Gadgetron Vendor in this new route, you'll have a fork in the road. In this video, we go left. Watch out for any ships that show up out of nowhere. If you see one that does, use the Visibomb. Just fire the Visibomb, then use the D-Pad or left analog stick to move the rocket once you're in the monochrome green first-person view. Just remember that the Visibomb shots have limited range, and if the screen turns into static, you've reached that range and the shot will explode.
There are humanoid enemies in this area, but they have the same close-range attack as all the other humanoid enemies that you've seen before. In this case, it's the fire wave.
10:08 - If you target the Screamer on the other side of this pipe, shoot a Blaster shot clean through this hole and hit the Screamer, you'll get a Skill Point.
At the end of the path is a Nanotech vending machine and a loop back to the start. For 4,000 Bolts, you can buy Premium Nanotech, increasing your maximum hit points from four to five. You'll be able to buy Ultra Nanotech from this machine, but you'll need 30,000 Bolts to buy it, and I won't be buying it until near the end of the game.
