PrinceWatercress plays The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2 - Part 1 of 14

Well, I've played the NES and the Game Boy game...now it's time to check out the sequels! While the consoles were left out, the Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance were prime territory for FOUR sequels! Here's the first one!

In this game, Honey Bunny - the love interest from the first game - has been kidnapped, this time by Witch Hazel, and trapped in the very top of a castle.

This time around, instead of carrots, you're picking up eight keys. When you pick up all eight keys, you can enter the door with the padlock on it and end the stage. When you complete a stage, you will get an extra life for completing it.

Left and Right let you move left and right, while Up lets you enter doorways, stairways and pipes, as well as climb up ladders. You can also go down pipes and climb down ladders with Down. Be careful, as pressing Up while not in front of a doorway will cause you to keep moving in the direction you are currently facing. If you go down a stairway (the horizontal non-doorway stairs, you will not be able to stop going down until you are all the way down it. Pressing either button after collecting a boxing glove lets you launch it forward. Simple enough.

Some of the doors take you into rooms. Sometimes, there may be something to pick up in the rooms, sometimes there won't be. When you walk out of them, enemies will freeze in place for a short time when you come back out. Use this to your advantage to get to doors and things that you have trouble getting to. Also, when you've opened a door that leads to a room, the door stays opened afterwards, so you can easily tell where you've been. This is useful, especially in the later levels.

The Up floor panels will send you into the air when you stand on them, and you can hold Left or Right to get onto a platform when you need to. The W floor panel will warp you from one W panel to another.

The bow and arrow lets you attack enemies. If you miss, you can still pick up the arrow and get it again.

The sledgehammer lets you break cracked blocks. When you are using the sledgehammer, you are invincible. The pickaxe lets you vault over brick wall blocks, and you will also be invincible while using it.

Foghorn Leghorn is the most basic enemy, and he will come after you in the . Merlin the Mouse will act like Foghorn Leghorn, while Wile E. Coyote will never use the tightropes (and can climb ladders, unlike the first game). Little Ghost will go after you, but will stay on their own platform and will never walk off the edge. Yosemite Sam acts like Little Ghost, but he will usually go the same direction you do and will never use a tightrope. Sylvester acts just like Yosemite Sam. Taz will act like Wile E. Coyote, but will also go up and down stairway doors. Tweety acts just like Little Ghost. Hector acts like Merlin and Foghorn Leghorn, but he can use the tightropes. Daffy Duck acts just like Sylvester and Yosemite Sam. Beaky Buzzard asks just like Taz and Wile E. Coyote, and do not use the tightropes.

To cross the tightropes, just move into them. Press Down to drop down if you need to.

The bombs can be laid on the ground with the button, and if any enemy runs into it, the bomb will destroy them. Thankfully, you can pick a bomb back up if you need it again, and the bombs only disappear when enemies run into them. You can only have one type of weapon in a stage, so you can't fight with bombs and bows at the same time.

Unlike the first game, which has barely any details and courses and mazes that go all over the place, the second game not only looks better, but also has some stages that are a tad more linear. You'll be following a specific path in some stages, like in Stage and Stage 3.
