PrinceWatercress plays Aladdin (Super Nintendo) - Part 3 of 7


We've got the lamp, but Abu touched the gem...and now the Cave of Wonders is going to collapse in a fiery, lava-filled blaze with us inside unless we get out.

Stage 3

Area 1


All ten red jewels will be in this section, and thankfully, they are all in plain sight. This area is auto-scrolling and is chockful of leaping fireballs, lava, stalactites, and even platforms that rise thanks to the lava. The parachute makes getting all the red jewels easier.

The fireballs are not insta-kill and will knock you upwards to help you get back to solid ground; the lava is instant death.

Stand on the chest to grab the scarab at its lowest point; it's your only shot to grab it for the bonus game.

Area 2


All you have to worry about is making your way to the end. If you touch anything or if anything touches you - the lava wave, the falling rocks, the ground and ceiling themselves - it's instant death and you're starting all the way back at the beginning. Since there are no checkpoints here - or any area of the game - this can be frustrating.

You have to position yourself right of center in order to avoid anything, and if you stay in the center,  you will get hit by something and die.

When you see the cave change color, you've made it! Aladdin and Abu will be trapped in the Cave of Wonder, but they will have the magic lamp and meet the Genie. From here, we're in the world of the lamp.
