PrinceWatercress plays Donkey Kong Land 2 - Part 12 of 15

We finally rescue Donkey Kong...or do we?

All maps by Shiny.

Clapper's Cavern

Bonus areas: One (1)

Clapper's back! This time around, when you jump on him and he blows on the water, the water turns to solid ice for a short time. The water will hurt you if you touch it, and once the water is ice, you'll have to run to the other side and use your momentum to not only jump over Zingers, but also slide under Zingers as you duck

If you go left at the start and jump straight up at the lone banana, you'll get the K and the DK Coin.

Soon after the checkpoint, there will be a Flitter flying back and forth. If you bounce off it to the right, you'll find the bonus area. Take down all the Klampons and try not to fall into pits as you make your way to the other side and get a Kremkoin.

If you get the N, there will be a hook to the right above the water. Also, there are invisible hooks past the goal that will take you to the G.

Chain Link Chamber

Bonus areas: Two (2)

Guess what? There's even more climbing in this stage than in Dungeon Danger.

After the myriad of chains and Klingers after the starting section, there will be two Krooks that you will have to contend with as you make your way up. Past the second Krook to the left is the first bonus stage. Here, you're jumping from platform to platform to get all the stars for the first Kremkoin.

There is another Krook after the checkpoint. If you go left past him, you'll find the DK Coin.

After this, there will be a grid of chains to climb around that is guarded by Zingers that fly around in circles. Keep to the far right, and you'll find a chain leading up to the second bonus area. Take down all the enemies to get the second Kremkoin.

Toxic Tower

Bonus areas: One (1)

Just like in Country 2, you'll have to stay ahead of the water that will hurt you to the touch. There is only one bonus area, but it and the DK Coin are thankfully very close to each other.

At the beginning, you'll find the Squitter barrel, and you won't be able to complete the stage without him. From here, you'll have to make web platforms to make your way up to the Rattly barrel. From here, superjump to the left, then start making your way upward. If you need to, move off the edge while holding B, then press A as soon as you start falling to make some jumps easier. You'll soon see two Zingers. Behind them is the bonus area. Jump on the Zingers to get to the other side and get the Kremkoin.

From the bonus area, superjump to the right from the nearby up arrow made of bananas, and make your way right past the Kaboing. When you see the up arrow made of bananas between all the small platforms, go left instead. You'll find the DK Coin.

Past the small platforms, you'll have an easier time, and you'll be able to make it to the checkpoint. Follow the bananas when you climb around to avoid the Klingers. After that, you'll play as Squawks. Thankfully, you'll have the most control here; just make sure the eggs you spit hit the Zingers when you need them too. From this point, it's almost smooth sailing to the goal, where you will also find a Banana Coin and two 1-Ups.

Stronghold Showdown

When you enter this area, you'll finally find Donkey Kong...in time to see him get carried away. Next up is The Flying Krock!
