FreezingInfernos plays Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures - Part 3 of 15

It's off to Cairo, where we find out that there are other reasons besides dysentery for why rats are annoying. Also, Nazis. Lots and lots of Nazis.

Cairo - Day

The wicker basket can not only be pushed, it can be punched forward. Perform the latter and you'll be able to destroy the rat that shows up right after the start of the stage. Getting up the ledges is simple - you can grab onto them from below and climb up the platform.

The Nazis with the guns can be easily defeated by the whip. If you're at the same height as they are, keep ducking as you strike them repeatedly with the whip so their bullets will whiz right over you.

The men throwing pots out of the windows can be destroyed by hanging off a hook and swinging into them. There are a couple of times where you can do this, and each one gives you 500 points. Go for the high score! You can also destroy them with your whip or your gun, as well.

The rats can be either destroyed by punching a movable object (such as a wicker basket) at them or by rolling into them. The roll can be used on other enemies, but it works best on rats as you can't them otherwise. The monkeys throw what look like rocks at you, but they can be dispatched quickly with the whip.

Later in the stage, you'll meet the swordsmen. They leap towards you and swing their scimitars, and boy, do their leaps have some range. Keep your distance, and hit him with the whip as fast as you can.

At the end of the stage, you'll get the gun. The guy in the black robe that swings his sword around shows up. Just like in the movie, shooting him with the gun blows him away in one shot. I'm going to quote the description from FreezingInfernos's video: "Whatever developer approved the exact re-enactment of the famous sword fighter scene should get a medal."

Cairo - Night

I don't remember this being in the movie. As a matter of fact, you don't see Indy traveling Cairo at night in the movie at all. The movie doesn't show it, but somehow the game does. Talk about taking some liberties with the story...

You'll get the gun at the very beginning. The screen will automatically scroll, and you'll be jumping over bales of hay while shooting this man that throws them at you. Once you kill him, get on the hay cart and you'll fight the bare knuckle boxer. Yes, this is the same guy that Indy fights near the plane. The game takes your gun away from you, and since the part where you fight him near the plane was obviously removed, you'll fight him with your fists here. After hitting him enough times, he'll double over and the stage ends.

You'll then find that the Well of Souls is in a German dig site near Cairo, and that the inscription on the medallion dictates not to disturb the Ark.
