frenzymatt (Mateus Lopes) beats Wild Guns on Hard - No Deaths - Part 4 of 6

All aboard...the Fail Train!

Armored Train

First Section

You'll be on the same part of the train the entire time; it's the enemies that change each section.

The first section consists of horseback riders, men in dune buggies and guys on hang gliders. These guys are pretty easy if you pick them off as the show up. You'll then be shooting down those push-lever carts (what are those things called? I see them in cartoons all the time) with missile pods and a pair of strongmen pushing the carts along the tracks with their own strength. If you shoot down the strongmen, you'll get 1500 points for your efforts.

This is probably the easiest part of the game hands down; if you can shoot stuff as it comes, you'll have no problem with the beginning of the level.

Second Section

You'll soon see the first train car.

There are a lot of guys on hang gliders shooting at you here, but your main concerns here are the missile launcher and the chaingun on the train car. The chaingun takes a lot of abuse before it will finally go down; so more than likely you'll be taking down the missile launcher first. The hang glider flyers will throw sticks of dynamite, which will definitely help with the chaingun if you don't have the G-Gun.

There are also men that leap onto the train car and inch their way slowly to the center. They'll shoot at you when they get there, and even though it's very much possible to stop them, they take a lot of damage. Again, the dynamite and the G-Gun (if you have it) work well here.

Third Section

This stage is a little longer than the rest.

Another chaingun is here, but this time the enemies are a hell of a lot easier. All you have to deal with are men who throw lassos at you, so destroying the chaingun this time is a far lesser chore.

Fourth Section

Mini-boss time!

There are no enemies here, just the lead car. There are two missile launchers as well as a green light at the back of the car. Destroy the missile launchers, then take out the green light. When it blinks briefly, it's about to shoot lassos. When it turns yellow, it's going to shoot at the ground where you're at from right to left.

Fifth Section

When you destroy the engine, you'll take on a guy on a jetpack. He'll shoot at you a few times before he flies up and comes down right in front of you, charging at you with a knife. Hit him to bring back into the air, or double jump over the charging slash, then go on the attack again. Horseback riders will come in to aid him, and he'll throw dynamite at you three sticks at a time, which you can throw back at him.

You could also luck out and get the V-Gun and take him out easily. That works, too.

Bonus Stage 2

Here, you'll be shooting down boulders as they fall down the mine tracks. You'll also be shooting down barrels that contain gold bags. Both count towards your targets total.

When you see a big boulder, shoot it down to turn it into a small boulder.

The men in the mine carts don't count toward your total, but they do add points to your score.

At the end, you'll get 500 points for every target you shoot down.
