PrinceWatercress plays Klonoa: Empire of Dreams - Part 2 of 12

In this episode, we wrap up the first world and head on to the second.

First | Next | End

Vision 1-4

The fourth vision of every world is an Airboard stage. In these stages, you'll have to pick up 100 Gems instead of the usual 30. Be sure to pay attention to signs, and get ready to play through the stage multiple times until you have it memorized so you can collect all those gems.

Throughout the course, there are Klonoa Tokens for free lives. Go for them if you can.

For the beginning of the stage, keep to the high road. You'll have to hover for the blue gems. Afterwards, go under the first flying Muu and over the second one. At the edge of the platform, jump and hover for the blue gem. You should have 33 gems at this point.

For the next section, take the ramp, then jump between the flying Muus and hover to get the blue gem between them. Jump for the blue gem after that Go up the slope, hit the ramp, then hover at the lowest point of where the gems are to get the rest of the gems before the end of the section. You should have 67 gems at this point.

For the third section, jump for the gems at the beginning, then jump at the top of the hill for a blue gem. Grab the Muu on the board and double jump to get all the gems that are ahead, then grab the next Muu you see, jump for the next three green gems, then take the ramp and double jump to get the last of the gems. You should have 100 gems, and you'll reach the goal here.

Vision 1-5

The sign at the beginning tells you that you can retry if you get stuck. (You won't lose a life if you do this in normal Visions, but you will lose a life if you do this in mini-game visions. If you need to re-try, just play through the level and collect Klonoa Tokens instead. You'll need the lives, anyway.)

Head to the right, and use the Muu to get to the gems between the red ropes leading to the exit. Go right, get the gems at the far right, then use the two blocks to get to all the gems above as well as the first Moon Stone. To do that, stack one on top of the other, grab a Muu, and double jump for the blue gem and the Moon Stone. From the Moon Stone, head right.

The sign in the next section tells you about the red balloons with wings, which are called Goomis. You can grab onto them with a wind bullet and then jump to where you need to go. Jump from the first Goomi to the second for two gems, then head right and use the Goomis to get to the red rope. Grab the Klonoa Token ad the second Moon Stone, then use the Goomis to get the nex three green gems. Grab the Muu, then jump off the box to the left and double jump above the spike pit to get the blue gem. Grab the moving Goomi and jump left to get to the next section.

Use the flying Muu to get a Klonoa token, then double jup to the left. Jump to the left off all the Goomis ou see for gems and progress, then get the Circle Key. Whether you hover to the left or drop down and double jump with the Muu below is up to you. Go right and climb down the ladder.

From the ladder, head left and use the Goomi that is moving up and down to get the last of the gems. Unlock the Circle Door, go right and use the Goomis to get the last Moon Stone. Throw the block you find here to the left and use it to double jump to the Triangle Key below. Head right, unlock the Triangle Door and you should be able to make your way to the exit.

Vision 1-6

The sixth vision of every world is an auto-scrolling mini-game. You'll want to be fast, but careful, because you will lose a life and be sent back to the beginning of the current section if you are in if you fall down a pit or fall too far behind. There are Klonoa Tokens in this visions, but I consider them more optional than the ones in the Airboard stages and they may keep you from getting all the gems if you go for any or all of them.

Head to the right and collect things as you go. When you start seeing the ropes, jump to the second one, then immediately climb up and go left for a blue gem that can be easy to miss. Keep going right for more gems, and use the flying Muus that you see to double jump to the gems that are near them. Jump to the left off the first Goomi you see for two gems, and be quick on the next two to get the blue gem that you will see soon after the first Goomi. From here, use the Goomis to get the rest of the gems in this section. Be sure to jump straight up when you grab the last Goomi. You should have 37 gems at the end of this first section.

For the second section, immediately head right and use the Goomis to get the gems. Grab the flying Muu after this and use it to double jump to the left and quickly get the six gems. Head to the right immediately, jump between the platforms for green gems, then grab the flying Muu you see afterward and double jump for the blue gem just above as well as the two green gems to the right. Get the gems around the Goomis that you see immediately after this, and jump straight up at the last one to get another blue gem. You'll soon see another set of Goomis shortly after this. Get the gems around the Goomis, then grab the two gems above the green platforms that are moving up and down. You should have 72 gems at the end of this section.

For the third section, stay high on the green platforms to get all the gems that you see, then grab the flying Muu that you see afterwards. Jump to the right and double jump for the blue gem (and an optional Klonoa Token), then grab the next flying Muu you see and double jump to the right. Grab the two green gems you see as you drop down to the green platform that moves up and down, then head right to the next platform. Jump to the right on each Goomi to get the gems, then use the green platform that moves up and down to move further to the right. Get the three green gems that you see, then grab the flying Muu and double jump to the right. When the portal pops up, use the wind bullet on it to grab another flying Muu early and double jump to the blue gem. Get to the Goomis below and get on the brown platform that moves left and right. Jump to solid ground to the right, then jump into the cannon at the end to clear the stage. You should have 100 gems when you're finished here.

Vision 1-7

Head to the left, grab the Muu, then get on the green platform. Head left to where the exit door is, double jump to the Circle Key, then go back, grab another Muu and jump onto the exit door and double jump off the top of it to get two green gems. Go back down, grab the box, get on the green platform and throw the block to the right. Go back to where you dropped the box off with a Muu, then head to the right, double jump to the left, grab the Goomi and go to the left, grabbing gems as you go. If you didn't grab the two green gems above the exit before, you can get them this way. There is a Moon Stone above you, but you won't be able to get it...yet. You're done here (for now), so go all the way back down and walk through the Circle Door and head right.

Go right, jump onto the trampoline, and press A as you are about to bounce upwards to perform a higher jump. Hover left, grab the gems and the first Moon Stone, then head right, grab the Muu and double jump to get over the wall where you found the Muu. Head right.

Go to the right and ride the green platform up. Head to the left, grab the Muu and get the gems above, then grab another one to get a Klonoa Token and reach the Goomis. Use the Goomis to get all the gems here, then jump to the right and climb up the ladder.

From the ladder, go left, use the Goomi to go further left, and hover to the platforms above where the box you saw was to get some more gems. Drop down, throw the box to the right, then double jump to the area above where the ladder is to get more gems and the second Moon Stone. Throw the box back to the left and head all the way left. Go down the ladder, then go left.

Grab the red rope and grab the Klonoa Token, then use the trampolines to jump left and get the nearby gems. Go left, grab the Muu, get the two gems to the left, then double jump to the Goomi, jump left and head left. Keep going left and you'll reach the last Moon Stone and the exit.

Vision 1 Boss

Klonoa and Huepow will happen upon an arena, where they soon meet a purple monster in a red shell with maces for hands. Huepow will tell you that you won't stand chance unless you attack him from behind.

Use the Muus to attack the boss from behind, and run under him and hit him from behind when he jumps at you. Be sure to avoid the rocks that come out when he hits the ground, too. After every hit, he leaps high into the air and creates an energy wave that travels in both directions when he hits the ground. He can also move towards you and trap you in the corner to get a cheap hit on you, too. If you know what you're doing, this battle doesn't take long at all.

After the battle, the boss will change into a brown guy with red boxing gloves and practice gear. This is Chipple, and he mentions that something happened when he dreamed that he was strong and a champion of the world. All of a sudden, a red mist appeared. As for the fight you just had and the form of the monster that he just took, he has no memory of it.

From here, you can head to Priamill, the second world in the game.
