PrinceWatercress plays Care Bears: The Care Quests - Part 2 of 4

It's time to play three more mini-games...and the mini-games are starting to get more interesting.

A Helping Hand

Cheer Bear must drop rainbows on obstacles to make the Starbuddies jump. Press the A button to drop a rainbow.

Use the Control Pad to fly around and press A to drop rainbows. You will need to drop rainbows in front of walls to keep the Starbuddies from turning around at them, as well as on top of bananas, bottomless pits and buckets of water to keep from losing Starbuddies to traps. If the Starbuddies run into any traps, you'll lose them. The rainbows will not last forever, and you'll have to keep an eye on them to steer the Starbuddies away from harm.

For the first stage, you need to get three Starbuddies to the other side; for the second, you'll need four. For the third and final stage, you'll need five. It gets harder as you go on.

The green Care Bear icon gives you an extra life if you've lost one, while the sneakers make your heart cursor faster for a short time. Once again, there are stars you can pick up for high score points, although you don't necessarily need to pick them up. To pick these and any power-ups up in this game, you'll have to thrown rainbows down on them.

Let's Play

Champ Bear plays tennis and must shoot the ball past the other Care Bear. Use the Control Pad to throw the ball in the right direction.

You'll play volleyball (I guess) against four Care Bears. The first Care Bear to score six goals is the winner. Use the Control Pad to move around. To catch the ball, just have it land on you. To aim the ball up or down, hold Up or Down after catching the ball to shoot the ball at an angle. If you shoot the ball past the Care bear, you'll score a goal. You'll need to shoot bank shots off the wall in order to get the ball past the other Care Bear, as your opponent will usually move and up down in the center of their half of the field and bouncing the ball off the wall makes it move slightly faster. If you shoot the ball straight forward, you'll slow it down again..

There are stars to pick up, and there are also sneakers that make you move a lot faster for a limited time. To grab both of these things, just move into them with the Control Pad.

Sweet Dreams

Bedtime Bear must help the Care Bears go to sleep. Press the A Button to throw sleeping dust.

For this one, just use Left and Right on the Control Pad to fly around and press and hold A to drop sleeping dust on the Care Bears. Be careful, because the Care Bears eventually wake up and you'll need to have them all asleep at the same time to clear the stages. For the first stage, you'll have three Care Bears; for the second, you'll have four; for the third, you'll have five.

Be careful with the clouds that move back and forth; they will block your sleeping dust.

There are stars to collect. Just fly into them to collect them.
