PrinceWatercress plays Care Bears: The Care Quests - Part 4 of 4

...and here are the last three mini-games! A fun game for small children and families overall, but I'm not the biggest fan of putting RNG in a game meant for small children.

First | Previous | End

Let's Share

Share Bear must grant the Starbuddies their wishes. Touch the toys to pick them up. Then touch the Starbuddies to give them the toy.

Left and Right move you around, while A lets you jump. Jump to grab a toy, then give it to a Starbuddy that has that toy above their heads in a thought bubble. They will change their minds every few seconds, so watch out.

When you give the correct toy to a Starbuddy, you'll get a super jump that you can use one time. Use that to grab the stars in the air. There is a minimum amount of toys you have to deliver - three in the first stage, four in the second and five in the third - but you can keep playing and collecting stars until you run out of time and head to the next round even after you meet that minimum.

Lucky Day

Good Luck Bear must drop clovers on the bears before they run into obstacles. Press the A Button to throw clovers.

Use the Control Pad to move Left and Right, and press A to drop clovers on the Care Bears to avoid whatever is in the center - a bucket of water, a bottomless, a banana peel or whatever it may be - to help them get to the other side of the stage.

You can collect stars and power-ups by throwing clovers down at them. The sneakers allow you to fly faster. The golden clover is exclusive to this game, and it gives the magic power of one clover to any on-screen Care Bears when collected.

Once again, you'll need to help three Care Bears for the first stage, four for the second and five for the third. If a Care Bear hits an obstacle, you will lose a point, and that can make the third stage a little tougher.

For the third stage, you'll have two obstacles, and the magic of the clover works for only one obstacle. As soon as a Care Bear jumps over an obstacle, be ready to throw another clover down on them to get them to safety.

When Dreams Come True

Wish Bear must catch the toys and give them to the right Care Bears. Press the A Button to drop a toy.

For this one, use the Control Pad to move Left and Right in order to grab a toy that drops down from the top of the screen, then hold the Control Pad towards the Care Bear you want to give the toy before pressing A in front of the Care Bear who wants it when you are next to them. (Standing in front of them isn't enough, you have to hold the Control Pad towards them.)

For the first and second stages, you'll need to hand a toy to only two Care Bears. For the third and fourth stages, it's three. For the fifth and sixth stages, it's four. For the seventh and eighth, it's five.

This is probably the toughest of the mini-games, since it introduces RNG (random number generation). You may have to wait a while for the toy that you want, and you'll constantly be scrambling and switching from one toy to another by dropping the one you currently have just to get a toy to a Care Bear. To make things a little more interesting - and frustrating - a Care Bear will eventually leave if left waiting long enough. If that happens, you lose one of your points on the bottom-right corner. This definitely makes the game harder the further you go. The best course of advice is to grab a toy in case you need to

Stars drop down and can be collected by being touched, Hourglasses add twenty seconds to your timer. Sneakers allow you to move faster (and will definitely be helpful) for a limited time.

That's all the mini-games! Enjoy the credits, which you can see at any time.
