PrinceWatercress plays Care Bears: The Care Quests - Part 1 of 4

Here's a game I never thought I would be covering. Who'd have thought there were Care Bears games?

There are twelve mini-games that make up this game. They're all so simple, even the littlest of children can play.

It's Good To Have Friends

Friend Bear must match the Care Bears with the toys. Press the A Button to knock on a window.

This one is pretty simple. Just use the Control Pad to fly around, and press A to knock on a window. Make sure you're holding the Control Pad towards the window before knocking, or else Friend Bear won't knock. You'll start out with four windows at first, but soon you'll have to deal with six windows, then eight. When you knock on back-to-back windows with the same, matching toy, those windows will be left open and the Care Bears behind them will leave. You will have to wait for them to leave before attempting another match.

As you play the game, there are stars that you can pick. These are just for a high score. Of course, you also want to watch how much time you have left in the upper-right hand corner. If you run out of time, you'll lose one of the three lives you have in the upper-left corner of the screen. Lose them all, and you lose the game.

After beating all the rounds of a game, you'll see the high score list. If you've collected enough stars, you'll make the high score list. Pick one of twelve Care Bears to represent you, then press A to put your score in the high score list. Each game recognizes three top scores.

Hide-And-Seek

Funshine Bear must find the hidden Care Bears. Press the A Button to search for them.

The Control Pad moves Funshine Bear around. As you move back and forth, you'll see other Care Bears peek their heads out. Go to the "bushes" in the clouds and press A if you think a Care Bear is hiding behind it. When you find a Care Bear, one of the rain cloud icons in the lower-left corner will change into a cloud with a sun behind it. Change all the rain clouds into sun clouds to go on to the next stage. You'll have to find three Care Bears in the first stage, four in the second stage and five in the third stage. As always, watch the timer in the upper-right so you don't run out of time and lose a life.

The green Care Bear icon gives you an extra life if you've lost one, while the sneakers make you faster for a short time. Once again, there are stars you can pick up for high score points, although you don't necessarily need to pick them up. 

All We Need Is Love

Love-a-lot bear must make the happy Starbuddies meet. Press the A Button to drop a heart and make them happy.

Instead of moving around, you'll have to watch the heart-shaped cursor that moves back and forth. When the cursor is aimed towards a Starbuddy, press A to fire a heart at them to make them happy. Clouds will block your shots, so watch what you're doing. If you can hit a lot of Starbuddies quickly and get two happy ones to run into each other, you'll pair them up 

You'll have to get four pairs to meet in the first stage, five pairs to meet in the second stage and six pairs to meet in the third stage. In the third stage, you'll have to deal with multiple clouds move

The green Care Bear icon gives you an extra life if you've lost one, while the sneakers make your heart cursor faster for a short time. The musical notes will freeze the Starbuddies and stop time for a short time, while the hourglass will increase your time remaining by 20 seconds. Once again, there are stars you can pick up for high score points, although you don't necessarily need to pick them up. To pick them up in this game, you'll have to shoot hearts at them.
