HalfBlindGamer plays Link: The Faces of Evil - Part 3 of 15

"Sorry, Link. I can't give credit. Come back when you're a little, mmmmmm...richer!"

If you haven't already, go farm some Rupies and buy a whole lot of lamp oil, rope, and bombs in Goronu. Also, go farm some snowballs in Nortinka.

Crater Cove

Alright, there's a way to defeat the Red Dairas: you have to equip the Snowballs and toss them at them. When you kill Red Dairas, they'll drop Firestones that you can collect. Do it, because you're going to need them later.

When you make it to the end of the cave, be careful when you leap on the platforms, as platform is not the game's strongest suit and it can be easy at times to accidentally jump your way into the lava.

When you trigger the map at the end of the cave, you'll finally be able to access Spearfish Falls, the waterfalls to the northeast of Crater Cove.

Nortinka

Time to put those Fireballs to good use. Head back to the frozen woman. Use a Firestone on her and she'll give you a Water of Life. Then she stays at the fountain and freezes again. When you get the Bottle, you'll be able to fill up on Water of Life here.

The door to the right of the frozen woman leads to a slope with Abominoms. These guys throw rocks at you, but they nor the Deadites that fly at you at sword height aren't the worst problem. Instead, it's the icicles that drop from the top of the mountain, which are really hard to see. In case you die on this part, the Abominoms won't re-spawn.

At the top is Ipo, the reader. He'll read the secret verse of the Book of Koridai if you can bring it to him.

Hitting the map will give access to the Toyku Lighthouse, which is to the west of Goronu.
