One more round, and we'll be able to save Moonland!
5-1
You'll be climbing up a mountain full of doors, but the only ones you want to enter are the ones near yellow plants; these will contain mini-games and fruit rooms. Watch out for some of the non-power-up plants, they still contain the tiny Compsognathus dinosaurs that rush at you.
To reach the platform with the first red big-headed dinosaur, you have to be at the edge of the platform below and jump straight up.
There is a plant that gives you a 1-Up at the top of this area.
5-2
In this area, you'll be in an outside castle area where you'll fight a lot of hatchet-throwing enemies. The blue guys with the brown eggshell helmets have boomerang hatches that return back to them. You'll also be meeting a lot of bird enemies, too.
You'll eventually make it to the moat; just use the bone platforms to get to the other side and reach the exit. Hold right on the last platform and you're there
5-3
It's swimming time again. Be careful on the corridors; there are spikes on the floors and ceilings. As for the trilobyte enemies, either take them out if they're at your level or avoid them altogether.
The crocodiles are back, but it's easy to fight them from underneath if you can.
There is a hidden room in the wall to the right at the moment you're able to go up and to the left. There's also another bonus area in the wall shortly after you go up and left, and I fail to even notice it on commentary. As a matter of fact, there's two of them, and I fail to mention eiter of them. You can tell they're there by the blue and orange.
The skull elevator takes you up to an area with moving statues. Wait for them to move forward before headbutting them; the rewards from getting them can be great. Don't let them touch you, though, as they take off an entire heart's worth of health if they do. Some of them fly up and down before moving at you entirely. If you can get them caught in a gap containing the green health-sapping slime, you can get a free hit on them without having to worry about getting hit yourself. Do not rush through this area; taking on four statues at once is strongly not advised.
The seed shooting weeds show up near the end of the stage. Take them out when you see them. Also, if the statues are on a stair step above you at the staircase near the end, stay down and keep headbutting.
Another skull elevator will take your further up where you will face lizard skeletons that shoot bubbles. You can headbutt the bubbles, but they don't give you points. The lizard skeletons take a lot of damage before they go down. Being below them on the "staircases" where you meet them helps to keep them at bay.
The lava pits shoot out volcanic rocks, so be careful when jumping over them.
The purple-robed dinosaurs spit fireballs at you and also teleport much like the Magikoopas in Super Mario World. Also, most of the pink flowers where you meet them do not drop power-ups; they are enemies.
5-4
The blocks here split in two to drop you downwards if you stand on them for too long. You'll have to be careful as you go up, as you have not only those blocks to contend with, but also wall-crawling egg enemies and the "T-Rex" statues we just saw earlier. Thankfully, the statues are not in the numbers that you saw them in earlier in the stage.
It should be mentioned that Bonk's jumps to the left or right require you to move in the direction you want to go for a little bit before you can finally jump in that direction.
In the area with the bone platforms, there is a room with an extra life, a big heart and a big meat slab, so if you need health and an extra life, you'll find them here. The skull elevator takes you to the boss rush.
5-5
Here, you'll pass by the rooms with statues of all the people you met at the end of every stage. Guess what? You're going to be doing a boss rush soon.
Take the skull elevator up to the waterfall, which you'll have to climb up to reach the top of the tower. If you see any floors where the waterfalls stop at, stand on them and press Up to find food rooms. You'll also be able to find a hidden 1-Up in the form of a small flower if you go left off the beaten path. You'll find another skull elevator at the top.
Here, you'll meet King Drool, who drops four eggs downwards. Before going anywhere, go up the waterfalls and into the doors at the top. You'll find some much-needed health and lives here. After that, climb up tot he cave at the top and go into the door.
You'll drop down to the beginning of 5-5, and the boss rush will begin. The same strategies will apply, but you still want to take as little damage as possible, as all these battles come one after the other and there are bosses after this.
After the boss rush, you'll face Princess Za, who has also been brainwashed. You'll have to fight a tank. The antenna is the weak point, but this boss has the attacks of the first four bosses that you'll also have to avoid, such as the boxing glove missiles and the bubbles of the first boss. The tank also jumps up and down, and if you can hit the antenna on its way down, you can keep spinning around and doing some major damage if you can keep control of Bonk. Once you beat the tank, Princess Za will return to her former self, then asks you to help her get back to Moonland. You'll enter another room, Go to the right and enter the skull elevator, and you'll both go to Moonland.
At Moonland, you'll meet King Drool, who destroys the spaceship.
5-6
Go to the right. You'll face King Drool.
Watch out for King Drool's fireballs, and try to leap into his nostrils from underneath before spinning around to do multiple hits afterwards. Don't do what I did and try to do aerial headbutts; you'll be in for a world of hurt if you do. Eventually, King Drool will be in full color. Watch the top of the screen, then try to hit him from below before going for spins. This can be hard to do, as it is hard to damage King Drool without taking damage yourself. King Drool will shoot out tridents, but you can easily get rid of them with headbutts or jumping into them from underneath.
Eventually, you'll be able to luck out and beat King Drool. Princess Za will get her crown back, everyone returns to Moonland, King Drool's castle collapses, then you'll get the ending. You just beat Bonk's Adventure!
