PrinceWatercress plays Alex Kidd in Miracle World - Part 2 of 5


It's time to go through four more stages, and this time, we get introduced to some new things such as the pedocopter and the flame enemies.

Stage 5


In the pedocopter, pressing 1 lets you ascend and pressing 2 lets you shoot. If you hit the copter blades on any red balls, you'll fall into the water and you'll have to swim the rest of the way. Regardless of what happens, this is still an easy stage.

Stage 6


The shop in the village allows you to buy the pedocopter, but you can also get an A Globe and a 1-Up. The pedocopter allows you to not only breeze through the stage, but also get a ton of money. If you touch the very top of the screen, you will not lose your pedocopter.

Gray rocks are indestructible. Also, the question mark block guarded by the first flame contains a 1-Up. The flames are indestructible, so don't even bother. The bouncing guys are easy to defeat, especially if you're behind them.

The boss here is a bull. Stand in front of it and punch the head when the bull is next to you, and keep doing it until it dies. You can also get behind it and mash the punch button until it dies, but if the bull moves forward while you're inside of it, you're going to die. When you beat the bull, you'll meet an old man who will tell you that your older brother is imprisoned in the castle and that you are the only person who can rescue him.

Stage 7


The rocks can all be destroyed.

The rock enemies and bats just move forward and can be beaten with a single punch.

The light blue ball with the star is the telepathy ball. To get it, punch the nearby yellow skull block. You'll be stunned, but you'll open up a tile in the ceiling. From there, walk off the edge and keep holding Right. You'll be able to get the telepathy ball, which lets you read the enemy's mind during rock-paper-scissors battles. Beware when using it however, as the enemy can change their mind at the last minute.

When you see the two question mark blocks near each other and the purple block with the yellow star, stand on the purple block to open up the path to the right question mark block, then punch the question mark block on the left. This unleashes a Grim Reaper. Off-screen him, then head to the other question mark block to get a 1-Up.

At the end, you'll have Scissors Head. For the first round, select scissors, as Scissors Head switches to paper (the open hand) at the last second. For the second round, pick paper.

Stage 8


You're now in the forest.

The shop at the beginning allows you to get a motorcycle, an A Globe and a gray cane. The gray cane allows you to fly when using it.

From here, you'll be jumping from one platform into another while trying not to jump or fall into spikes. Take your time above the spike pits when you need to. When you see guys throwing things at you from the trees, move past them and get them off the screen.

The blue platforms are indestructible.

Near the end are two question mark blocks. Be ready to punch the first one and quickly off-screen the Grim Reaper so you can get a 1-Up out of the other one.

The boss here is a blue bear with a sword. Stand in front of him, then pause the game, select the A Globe with Button 2, and let the eight miniature Alex Kidd clones kill him. Just watch out for the guy throwing stuff from above. That will clear the stage.
