There's nothing more we can do, so let's find a way to get the moon out of the pool. Afterwards, it's on to Chapter 4.
You can click on one of the rubber chickens to get Valanice to ask about it. Ersatz says he will needs something very special in exchange for it.
The plant on the far left is a false plants. If you click on it, you'll get some hilarious banter involving the Archduke's gardener.
The books are copies of "The Wisdom of Falderal," and a copy costs one wooden nickel. Thankfully, we have one at this point, so hand it over to Erzats and you'll get the book. If you look at it with the eye and click on the front cover, you'll find out the pages are blank.
If you give Ersatz the mask, you'll trade it in for the rubber chicken.
Leave the Faux Shop. There is nothing else you can do in this area, and to continue with the game, you'll have to go all the way back to the desert.
Back at the desert, talk to Rodrigo to trade some items. You can trade the empty book for a shepherd's crook, but you won't be able to trade anything else. Head back to Falderal and use it to get the green cheese/moon, dropping the crook in the fountain in the process. When Valanice takes it, she will be stopped by Archduke Fifi le Yip Yap and his guard. Valanice is then placed under arrest for stealing the moon as well as being a human. This ends Chapter 3.
Chapter Four: "Will the real troll king please stand up."
Last time we met Rosella, she had been transported into the Vulcanix Underground and transformed into a troll in the process. She regained her human form and made her way to the surface of the land in a quest to stop Malicia, but the lift has proven unstable...
Rosella will grab onto the edge of the opening in the land, and a man with a shovel extends his tool. Click on the shovel, and he will pull Rosella up. IF YOU TAKE TOO LONG, YOU WILL DIE. From there, the opening to the Vulcanix Underground will cave in and suddenly be filled with dirt as Rosella thanks the man. It becomes obvious that Rosella is in a graveyard, and the man then says that his work will take forever due to his small shovel.
