NintendoCapriSun plays Mega Man 7 - Part 4 of 17

We beat Freeze Man? About time.

Junk Man

The cockroaches are low to the ground, so hit them with a charged Mega Buster shot or a weapon that travels the floor, if you have one. When you destroy their spawn point, two cockroaches will pop out and you'll have to deal with those. If you're close enough to the cockroaches, they'll fly at you, which leaves them more vulnerable to attack. Just be careful if you're trying to avoid them, as they can climb on walls like real cockroaches.

Just like the last six games, you'll have to deal with Mettaurs. They'll shoot at you and rush forward when you get close enough, and they can only be destroyed when their faces are exposed.

The elevator segment has you fighting off Mettaurs with copter heads and puny cannons at the bottom. They go down very quickly when you shoot at them.

Some of the pits are filled with lava, so watch out.

At certain points in the stage, you'll find signs saying "AC 100w" above power generators. If you use the Thunder Bolt on these poewr generators, you can get things such as factory machinery and lift platforms up and running again. Try it out!

At one point in the lift platform segment, there is a short ladder on the left side of the room. Climb it and go right to find Rush Jet.

The magnets, after the generators for them are powered up with Thunder Bolt, while slowly carry you over the pits. In this area, you'll see worms crawl through all the junks. Watch for the periscope, as that is where the worms are located as they look for and lunge at you.

Watch out in the area with the green platforms, as junk blocks will fall from the chutes in the ceiling. If one lands on the platform, projectiles will start shooting from the sides of it until it's destroyed.

The purple turrets will fire on your current location.

To beat Junk Man efficiently, you'll need the Thunder Bolt. Hit him with it, then slide under him as he leaps to the other side of the room. Repeat until he's dead. Easiest boss in the game.

Beating Junk Man will net you the Junk Shield, which protects you from some hits.

Freeze Man

The ladder that leads up before the Shield Joe leads to the H icon.

Freeze Man has a couple of attacks. The most obvious one is that he can freeze the floor. When the ice covers the floor, you'll want to jump so that the ice doesn't keep you stuck to the floor.

Besides the running and jumping Freeze Man can do, he can also shoot Freeze Crackers at you to freeze you in place and also toss Freeze Crackers into the ceiling to create icicles that fall to the floor all across the room.

Freeze Man is weak to the Junk Shield, so if you're frozen to the floor, you'll be able to stop him with it and do the most damage. It also protects you from the icicles that drop down.

Beating Freeze Man will give you the Freeze Cracker. Not only does it freeze enemies, but the crystal you fire split apart after hitting the ground or a wall. You can also tweak the angle of the shot a little bit with Up or Down on the Control Pad.
