Last call for alcohol here. We finally find out who the mastermind behind all of this is...
Stage 11 (continued)
For the beginning of the second section, be prepared to run with your head down (Down-Left/Down-Right) so that you can take less damage as you make your way to the end of the first part.
The second section really pulls out all the stops. A lot of enemies will be thrown at you here, and they all come from previous stages of the game.
If you get hit by the leaping red ninjas or their projectiles between the lone break-away platforms, just let yourself fall back to the platforms so you can get back to where you were. Hope you have a couple of lives for this, because you're going to need them here.
When you make it to the padded door at the end, you'll finally meet Damian Hawk, the guy in the intro. He hides in the shadows as he talks to you, and he has awaited your return. Obviously, Hart doesn't believe a word Hawke says when he says he provides products necessary for survival. You then find out that Damian Hawk, who is an older version of Hart. Turns out...Hart's one of the aliens, and he's a doll created to keep BEDA Corporation profitable forever. If Hawke dies, Hart takes over BEDA, followed by the capsule clone in case Hart dies. Hart wants no part of this, and Hawke has no choice but to do away with him.
Not surprisingly, Hawke is just a silver palette swap of Hart. Hawke jumps around (and he gets some major air compared to you) then shoots his gun at you. Duck as soon as he lands and shoot back, which allows you to duck his shots. If you're ducking when he lands, Hawke will automatically duck when he lands before he shoots at you. Hawke's shots also go further than yours, which can be pretty bad at times. If you get too close, he'll hit you with a laser whip of his own.
When you beat Hawke, you'll have to battle him again. This time, he has a much bigger humanoid form. Hawke will jump around a few times before dropping straight down and shooting crescent beams at both sides of the screen. Stay under the first two and jump over the third, then throw a grenade at Hawke's head. If you do it right, the grenade should do two blocks' worth of damage to him. If you run out of grenades, you'll have to rely on your gun - which means you're going to have to get closer to do damage - until the game decides to throw you a bone and give you a few more out of nowhere much like it did with the gun during the shooting segments.
When you beat Hawke's second form, you've done it! You've won! Enjoy the ending that hints at a sequel that was never developed!
At the end of the vid is the debug menu. Hold A and reset the console, then press A or B on Controller 2 to bring up the menu. Use the two buttons to switch between the sound test and the level select.
