NintendoCapriSun plays Mega Man 7 - Part 3 of 17

Copy and paste time, because we're replaying stages we still haven't beaten yet and we're finally making progress!

Burst Man (continued)

After some more reappearing block platforms (jump straight up on the third one to reach the fourth!), you'll see some green frog robots. They leap high every couple of seconds. They're pushovers.

You'll then be dealing with the water that rises and falls again (which brings fond memories of Dive Man). Walk into the surface of the water instead of jumping so you don't sink towards the spikes and come close to dying.

You'll find a spinning square with the letter "R" on it. There are three others that spell the word "Rush," and you'll need these to get another ability.

Burst Man shoots bubbles that you can shoot down, then produces others in the floor that take you towards the ceiling if you stand on them. Stay off of them and keep putting a hurt on Burst Man with the Mega Buster. He'll perform a high, short-distance leap towards you before shooting bubbles with yellow balls in them at you. Let them hit you, then shoot the bubble repeatedly while your inside so the yellow balls don't explode on you before you can break free. Stay away from these explosives when they're on the ground, too.

From there, Burst Man will keep repeating this pattern to the letter. If he gets too close, slide under him when he does the jump.

Burst Man's weakness is the Scorch Wheel, but you won't be able to get that until later. When you hit him with it, he'll drop a bunch of bombs. If he's clear on the other side of the room, this isn't a problem; it's when he's near the center of it that it can. At least the weapon pushes him back, so fighting him the second time around will be easier.

Beating Burst Man will net you the Danger Wrap. It can encase enemies and other things inside bombs.

Cloud Man

To beat Cloud Man, jump over his thunderbolt attacks and the ground-travelling thunder balls it creates. If he's in the air and he flashes, you'll know he's about to shoot a thunderbolt then. Slide away from him as he make it rain, as he will be be sucking you towards him as he tries to conduct electricity. The rest of the time, the wind of the rainy weather will be pushing you away. While it's raining, jump over the electric balls Cloud Man creates that travel across the ground. When it becomes clear again, slide under him as he moves around. Fire charged shots at him, especially while its raining and he's trying to suck you towards him, since he'll be staying in one spot then.

Now that we have the Danger Wrap, this is a lot easier. Aim for Cloud Man and have the bomb touch him. Every time it encases Cloud Man, it'll send him crashing down to the ground. Keep repeating this and, with practice you can get him in an infinite damage loop.

Beating Cloud Man nets the Thunder Bolt, which fires electrically charged spheres that can also power some electronic machines as well as damage enemies.

Store

Press Select on the Robot Master select screen to go to the store. You'll meet Auto, and for a certain amount of bolts, you can get certain items such as 1-Ups, Energy and Weapon Tanks, and other cool stuff such as Beat's Whistle and the Exit ability (which works just like in the X series).

Auto will mention that he's missing a bolt. You'll find it eventually.
