PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 41 of 41

Do we save Nosgoth...or doom it? Find out today!

Once you go through the portcullis to the south, you'll instantly return to the Pillars of Nosgoth. When you approach the pillars, Kain will come across Mortanius killing someone. The game does not exactly make it clear, but the person that Mortanius kills is Anarcrothe, the only other member of the Circle of Nine you have yet to face, after an argument. Kain then faces Mortanius, who dares Kain to finish him.

From here, get Repel ready and take out the enemies who spawn the skeletons before going after Mortainus and smacking him around. The Repel spell will protect you from the skeletons who try to smack you around as well as the light-green skeletons who pop up and explode.

After enough damage, Mortanius transforms into a demon. Keep casting Repel and watch where Mortanius pops up, then smack him around until he falls into the floor and shows back up. As long as you keep Repel active, Mortanius cannot hurt you.

The two items at the pillars are Anarcrothe's Alchemical Scales and Mortanius' Death Orb, with Anarcrothe and Mortanius being the guardians of balance and death, respectively. Picking these things up during the battle is entirely optional, as Kain will use them to restore the pillars anyway. (It's not Elzevir and Moebius' items at all like I said in the video.)

When Mortanius fall, you can make a save file that takes you right back to the battle of Mortanius. This will allow you to see both endings.

It turns out that after all of this, the last member of the Circle of Nine is none other than Kain. After defeating Mortanius, you get two choices. The card on the left will let Nosgoth fall into ruin, while the card on the right allows Kain to save Nosgoth. If you pick the card on the right, Kain sacrifices himself and sends the vampire race into extinction to purify the pillars for all time and save Nosgoth, but if you pick the card on the left, Nosgoth falls into absolute ruin and Kain rules over it. Nosgoth falling into absolute ruin is considered the canon ending, and it sets the stage for the next game, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.

And with that, you've beaten Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain! Congratulations!

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 40 of 41

In this entry, we find out that a good amount of our quest has been a farce thanks to Moebius.

When you make your way out of the fort, you'll see some of the same enemies from the past as well as some new ones. Strangely, the enemies here look more like Also, a lot of the traps will be gone. If you go back to where Secret #99 is, you'll find four Hearts of Darkness.

4:11 - In this room, go north and go through the hole in the wall for a shortcut back to the entrance.

6:08 - This time, however, you'll have to go through the sewer you skipped in order to get out.

6:49 - Use the mist form to make your way south and end up...

8:02 - ...here. Now you can leave. Don't forget to save! When you are back outside, you'll hear a commotion coming from the direction of Willendorf.

10:37 - Before you do that, you'll have to go into the full moon cave and trigger the secret inside one more time. This is Secret #100 (see below).

15:03 - The tents are gone, and the houses are here in the present day.

18:19 - The statue is destroyed. However, the townspeople are now in a frenzy and want to kill us. Meanwhile, there are now more houses to the south, but it becomes apparent that people are being publicly executed in Willendorf, as you approach and then go through the forest.

27:03 - When you approach the portcullis, you'll find out that there is a public execution happening in town. Guess who's being executed? Vorador. After Vorador is executed, Moebius - who is heading the executions - sics the townspeople on Kain.

27:58 - Kill all the enemies. If you don't get a voice clip as soon as you get back into gameplay, enter the map and then leave once you defeat the enemies in order to get it to work. You'll need to hear that voice clip of Moebius in order to continue on. As it turns out, Moebius was also the Oracle of Nosgoth, and that he tricked us into doing his dirty work.

32:12 - There are more enemies here. Keep killing them all and keep casting Repel. Once you defeat them, approach Mobius to get to the next area. Eventually, Mobius himself will go after you. Strike him once with your weapon and you'll get a cutscene where Kain decapitates him. From there, you can grab his hourglass, then Mortanius will congratulate Kain before telling him to come back to the Pillars of Nosgoth to get his vengeance.

Secrets

100. - Before you do that, you'll have to go into the full moon cave and trigger the secret inside one more time. This is Secret #100.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 39 of 41

In this entry, we head to William the Just's fort in an attempt to end his reign of terror before it starts and ultimately change the present day.

0:00 - Remember the full moon cave from earlier? You have to go into it again and trip the switch to get Secret #98 (see below).

4:07 - It's time to enter the fort. We could do it in the present day, but it would not lead to much. In the past, we can get something done here.

6:23 - Once you save your game at the spire in the first room, go north right after the right turn. Hit the switch between the blades.

7:43 - Use Repel to block all the projectiles and continue north.

8:39 - Keep an eye out for things in this dark room. Red lights will indicate switches. Hit them all, and be sure to use Repel. Once you hit all the switches, go back south to enter the locked door you passed by earlier.

10:00 - From here, go east and down the stairs. You'll see the man in the white robe - whose name with Moebius and has the ability to travel through time - meeting with William the Just. From here, go back up the stairs, go north, hit the switch to the east and continue north.

13:36 - In this room, go straight north and hit the switch to the immediately left to open a door in the southeast corner. In the next room, hit the switch to the right of the door to trigger Secret #99 (see below), then get everything here.

15:20 - Go all the way to the north and hit the switch, then go back, go all the way to the west and go all the way to the north to hit another switch. Finally, go back to the center, hit the switch on the right, then hit the switch on the left a second time to open the nearby door.

16:35 - Have Repel ready before you enter this room to face the enemies. Hit the switch to the east to open a door to a save spire. From here, you can use the enemies to refill on magic, which you're really going to need soon.

19:56 - Here, you'll face William the Jest, who is aware that you're here. He has the Soul Reaver, but if you cast Repel and equip your own Soul Reaver, you can go to town on him without losing a ton of energy. Once he goes down, go north to find another time streaming device. When you leave the room, you'll be back in William the Just/The Nemesis' fort, but back in the present day. The room where the time streaming device was now contains a blood vial.

Secrets

98. - Remember the full moon cave from earlier? You have to go into it again and trip the switch to get Secret #98.

99. - In this room, go straight north and hit the switch to the immediately left to open a door in the southeast corner. In the next room, hit the switch to the right of the door to trigger Secret #99, then get everything here.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 38 of 41

In this video, we finally push the story forward into endgame. Here, we finally return the doll, but The Nemesis' forces destroy Willendorf's army. We then somehow get taken back to the past...

4:58 - Once you enter the throne room in Willendorf, there is no turning back, and you're forced to this part of Nosgoth. By returning the doll to King Ottmar, King Ottmar mobilizes his army to take on the forces of The Nemesis.

6:37 - Once you're on the battlefield, keep going north. If you need to fight your way over to the other side, so be it. As you go further and further to the north, King Ottmar and his forces will be whittled away, and even King Ottmar himself will perish. By the third screen, you will have no help and everyone will be gunning for you. When you reach the building to the north, you'll suddenly be teleported to what looks like the battlefield you were on, but a lot more green. You have been teleported to another time, and the time streaming device now lay in pieces at your feet.

12:28 - By killing the lone guard to the east, you'll find out that a man in a white cloak is hunting down the vampires. Strangely, the man in the cloak is surrounded by the same armored guards who serve The Nemesis. After this cutscene, the portcullis on the north wall will open. Follow the path and take out the enemies as you go.

14:12 - This town is no longer burnt down, and there are no villagers. If you need some items, enter the six houses with the open doors. One of them will also contain a save spire; use an alternate save slot just in case.

18:55 - How quaint...this statue is under construction. Kain will come to the conclusion that he has gone fifty years into the past. To the north is a whole load of wooden houses instead of red tents.

21:54 - William The Just/The Nemesis' fort.

23:08 - Just like fifty years into the future, there is a full moon cave west of the fort. Believe it or not, you have to wait for it to open AGAIN for another secret.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 37 of 41

Before we enter endgame, let's have some fun.

0:00 - This cave, once opened, leads to the Pentalich of Tarot spirit forge. Go north once you're inside the cave and you'll trigger the secret (see below).

2:04 - The cave further to the north and west of the Pentalich of Tarot forge leads to the Nemesis Keep, which we've been to before.

3:22 - The first of four super-secret switches is here at the Nemesis Cave. Shoot at what looks like a window with Energy Bolt to trip it.

7:00 - The second switch is in this corner just south of Ziegsturhl. Just face south to find the switch and hit it with Energy Bolt.

7:45 - The third switch in Malek's Bastion, which is hidden in a window. Hit the switch with Energy Bolt.

8:58 - The fourth switch is tucked away in a corner where a Heart of Darkness is southeast of Willendorf. Face north where the road ends and throw an Energy Bolt to hit the switch.

11:24 - At Capt. Bitter's Sudz in Vasserbunde, you'll find a back entrance. The teleporter takes you to...

12:11 - ...the HCMS Bitter. (The ship is Canadian because Silicon Knights was based in Canada.) This ship was originally part of the story, but later taken out and the maps for it dummied out and placed secretly. From the Legacy of Kain Wiki:

HMCS Bitter was an obscure area of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain that was largely undiscovered until years after release. The area remained unknown to the general public until 2010 when the Blood Omnicide team discovered the area in game files as part of their project to recreate Blood Omen in 3D. At the time the area seemed to be cut off from the rest of the world and required a walk through walls cheat to access.

In 2020 the switches that opened the way to the Bitter were finally uncovered by fans in the Land of the Nemesis, Ziegsturhl, Malek's Bastion and the region southeast of Willendorf. These areas had literally represented the four corners of the World map in the Blood Omen alpha, but the map had been reshuffled in development leaving different areas as the corners in the retail version. Each switch was invisible, off the playable area and technically unreachable, but all had subtle pathing to the switch which allowed an Energy Bolt to travel through and activate it.

One of the white teleporter pads will take you back to Vasserbunde, but the other one will take you to the wrecked version of the ship. In both areas, you can find a lot of pick-ups as well as some areas where you can fight enemies and open chests. Use the mist form to walk on the water.

Despite being hidden the way that it is, this is not considered an official secret, as this was well hidden-off by the developers and was intentionally made near-impossible to find until gamers figured it out.

Secrets

97. - This cave, once opened, leads to the Pentalich of Tarot spirit forge. Go north once you're inside the cave and you'll trigger the secret.

ACTUALLY 97. - I got this during the Let's Play, but I failed to mention that this was a secret when I found it and I never listed this as a result. Be sure to get this one before you return the doll. If you don't remember where it is, it's south of the wooden bridge leading into Vasserbunde and blocked by a stone menhir that you have to break with the mace. Placing it here because I forgot which video I got this one in and I don't feel like doing minutes on end of searching. (Thanks Lumpz Clown)

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 36 of 41

Now that we've made it to where Elzevir hides, let's go and kick Elzevir's butt.

0:09 - To enter Elzevir's mansion, shoot Spirit Wrack across the gate, then move the doll up to the switch. Use the Flame Sword to get rid of the shadow dolls.

1:11 - By getting on this island of ice, you can unlock a secret (see below).

1:31 - There is another secret just south of the island where you can find some pick-ups (see below).

1:41 - Going east leads to another nook which has another secret (see below).

1:53 - When you go as far west as you can go, go north for pick-ups and one more secret (see below).

3:14 - We're all set, so let's enter Elzevir's Mansion. I equip Energy Bolt and Natural Light, then enter the door to the left.

4:02 - At the barrels, use Spirit Wrack on the singular non-bear enemy to hit the switch. (It's easier if everything there dies, but it's just as frustrating.) If you couldn't tell, those are explosive teddy bears. Nice touch. From there, avoid the spiked balls and other traps on the path, and use Repel if you need to.

7:07 - Go through the door to the right. Follow the path and hit the switch, then use Mist to avoid the wall spikes. At the spike pit, throw Spirit Wrack at the enemy between the two teddy bears. Move south to get the rune triangle and hit the switch that opens the door behind you. At the spike pit near the icy floor, use Energy Bolt to hit the switch. Hit the switch at the end.

9:42 - Go through the door in the middle. Get the blood vial, then use the Wolf Form to jump across the barrels and shelf while avoiding the spiked balls. I leave to get a magic orb before continuing with this part.

11:47 - You may not need it, but I equipped and used Magical Light, because it can get pretty dark here. Use the wolf form to get to the floor panel behind the barrel, then make your way around the room with the mist form to avoid the traps. The room with the enemies you can feed off of leads to a save spire. You're almost at Elzevir.

14:23 - Here's Elzevir. To beat him, cast Repel, then equip the Soul Reaver. Keep hitting Elzevir while the minions keep hitting you. At least he doesn't teleport like a coward. When Elzevir is dead, go north to get the doll with King Ottmar's daughter's soul. From here, I feed off the humans, then we leave the fortress. At this point, we are at endgame, and if we continue with the story by returning the doll to Willendorf, we will trigger a no-turning-back point

22:01 - The gates just past the giant statue are open now. If you go north to the next screen, then go up the ramp and go west, you'll find a full moon cave. This is the spirit forge for the Pentalich of Tarot, which has no backdoor unlike the other spirit forges. You'll have to go through it not once, not twice, but three times to get all the secrets in the game.

Secrets

93. - By getting on this island of ice, you can unlock a secret.

94. - There is another secret just south of the island where you can find some pick-ups.

95. - Going east leads to another nook which has another secret.

96. - When you go as far west as you can go, go north for pick-ups and one more secret.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 35 of 41

In this entry, we make our way to Elzevir's Mansion.

1:24 - With Inspire Hate, everyone here can run into the dart traps. From here, you'll be following the path.

2:14 - Use Repel to keep from being hit by everything as you go for all the switches. At the end of this part, you'll find a save spire near the door you've just opened.

4:01 - The guys in the red armor can do a good amount of damage, but you can also feed off of them. If you use Spirit Wrack on the guys on the towers, you can activate towers to open the front gates. When you go in, use Inspire Hate again to get rid of a ton of enemies.

7:41 - We finally get the snow message. About time.

7:56 - When you go down the stairs, you'll be going through another dungeon. The floor spikes send you back to the start of the spike path if you get hit by them. You'll soon be able to make your way back up.

10:00 - Once you're back outside, go west and activate the beacon immediately, then head north to enter a deserted town.

11:17 - Welcome to the town of Stahlberg, which has been ravaged by The Nemesis. When you go inside, expect to see a lot of enemies. There are some open doors that lead to pick-ups, thankfully.

18:12 - Welcome to a giant statue...and enemy territory. Here, you'll be fighting even more enemies. Elzevir's Mansion is to the west.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 34 of 41

In this entry, we explore the castle walls of Willendorf and meet the king himself. Unfortunately, King Ottmar has problems of his own that make The Nemesis less of a priority.

When you enter the castle, you'll enter the better part of town. Guards will go after you and try to kill you as you walk around, so be careful.

1:38 - The Great Library of Willendorf. One of the bookshelves mentions the Circle of Nine as well as a demonic possession cult.

5:23 - There are plenty of barrels with pick-ups in them that you can break at the blacksmith's.

10:45 - The first of two guard towers. Use Inspire Hate to get all the soldiers to kill each other and get some free health before continuing on to hit the two switches to open the doors leading to the castle.

14:44 - When you go further into the castle, you'll get a cutscene where Kain meets King Ottmar of Willendorf. You'll find out that his daughter has suffered a serious malady that has caused her to fall unconscious courtesy of Elzevir the Doll Maker, one of the Circle of Nine. We will have to go after Elzevir in order to save Ottmar's daughter, as whoever saves her will have the kingdom.

19:42 - West of the entry room is a tunnel leading towards Elzevir's domain. Use Inspire Hate to get the guards to kill each other, then use the save spire to save your game.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 33 of 41

In this entry, we take a tour through Willendorf and find a few secrets along the way.

The beginning of this video is me returning to Willendorf through the mines that we went through last video.

5:38 - Kain's description of Willendorf.

While you're here, look out for soldiers as you enter the few houses you can get into for pick-ups.

11:09 - West of the village is a castle. If you go south from the screen west of the bridge with the mist form, you can find four Hearts of Darkness, a magic orb and a secret (see below).

12:43 - There is a house north of the bridge, and inside is two secrets: a backdoor to the Slow Time spirit forge, and the entrance to the spirit forge itself (see below).

Secrets

90. - West of the village is a castle. If you go south from the screen west of the bridge with the mist form, you can find four Hearts of Darkness, a magic orb and a secret.

91 and 92. - There is a house north of the bridge, and inside is two secrets: a backdoor to the Slow Time spirit forge, and the entrance to the spirit forge itself. As for the front door, it's that full moon cave in the southwestern corner of the map.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 32 of 41

On the way to Willendorf, we find a few secrets.

1:03 - Here's a long overdue secret. There is a big rock here that needs to be pushed. Once you get past it, you'll trigger a secret (see below) that leads to eight Hearts of Darkness a rune triangle and a blood vial.

3:54 - This cave behind a big rock leads to a spell that improves your disguise.

4:49 - While in this mine shaft, you can push the mine carts. Thankfully, the path here is pretty straightforward, and the enemies here are easy to fight. You can hit the stalagmites here with the mace, but you won't find anything. You'll also find a rune triangle and a blood vial along the way.

11:12 - The blood fountain here improves your disguise. If you use the disguise form, however, the game will lock up. From here, head south and follow the path to get out of his cave. Don't forget to save!

13:47 - Welcome to Willendorf. We're not exploring this place...yet.

15:01 - Instead, let's go further south. Past the rocks to the east is a dead end, but south...

16:37 - ...leads here. Jumping across the mountains with the werewolf form leads to scarecrows you can easily destroy with flays. There is a Heart of Darkness by itself, which we'll return to later. There is also a cave on the way down.

18:37 - The cave leads to a blood fountain that gives you even quick magic regeneration.

19:49 - The watery path leads to magic regeneration as well as an Energy Bank and a Pentalich of Tarot. Going further south leads to a full moon cave and a beacon. Activate the beacon.

22:04 - The cave to the right of the two spires is Secret #89. Keep going north to get credit for it (see below). If you can push all the rocks correctly, you can kill all the enemies and get everything here.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 31 of 41

Now that we know that we need to go to Willendorf, we're heading there. On the way there, we do things.

Now that you're done at the Pillars, head back to the beacon you activated after beating Azimuth, go through the portcullis again and go east.

3:17 - Willendorf...and scarecrows. Yes, the scarecrows are back.

4:06 - You're supposed to wait until you get the third strength upgrade to push this rock, but if you try to push it, then jiggle the D-Pad, you can get through. The Hearts of Darkness hide a secret (see below).

4:45 - South and east of the secret is a bridge.

5:36 - Using Control Mind on this guy and moving his to the right triggers a floor switch that opens a door to the north. This also triggers a secret (see below). The room to the north contains a ton of pick-ups.

By the way, you can try to push the big rocks and then jiggle the D-Pad in order to make your way back.

9:04 - East of the rocks has one more meeting with Mortanius, who tells us that he can help us no longer. Further to the east is a beacon and a shortcut to Willendorf, and northeast of that is a cave.

11:24 - Use Repel to make your past the projectiles and save your game, then use Control Mind the guy on the right. Hit the switch to the north, go east, throw knives at the guy to the south, then get past the spiked balls to refill your magic. Control Mind the guy on the left, hit the switch to the north, go west, kill the enemy, hit the panel on the north wall, then get past the spiked balls to get two Pentalich of Tarot pick-ups.

13:31 - Use Mist to get past the spiked balls. Use the Flame Sword on the zombies.

14:26 - Use Control Mind on the guy to the north to get Spirit Wrack, which is much like Control Mind but can be used on ghosts. Be sure to hit the switch to the north, too. Use Spirit Wrack on one of the undead enemies that will kill your human host to get a rune triangle and a magic orb.

From here, press X to return to Kain, then get rid of the other zombies with Pentalich of Tarot after moving south slightly. From here, use Spirit Wrack on the skeleton to the north and hit the nearby switch. This will open up a bridge. From here, keep using Spirit Wrack to hit switches and continue to make your way to the north.

18:58 - Use Pentalich of Tarot to get rid of the enemies and get the blood vial before going east and leaving.

21:23 - South of the beacon and the cave is a sign where you can learn about Willendorf.

22:50 - You're supposed to go past the last boulder with the third strength upgrade to get the Pentalich of Tarot cards and the secret (see below), but trying to push and then jiggling the D-Pad lets you go in and out.

23:48 - NOW we have our third strength upgrade.

Secrets

85. - The Hearts of Darkness hide a secret.

86. - Using Control Mind on this guy and moving him to the right triggers a floor switch that opens a door to the north. This also triggers a secret (see below).

87. - The Pentalich of Tarots hide a secret. You're supposed to come here with the third strength upgrade, but trying to push and then jiggling the D-Pad lets you go in and out.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 30 of 41

This video is short only because trying to beat Azimuth was a pain in the butt, but we did it.

0:32 - When you enter the next room, cast Repel, then switch to the Soul Reaver and attack Azimuth. Run away from the purple demons at all times. Whenever you approach her, she will teleport, and you'll have to run around the room to catch up with her and hit her before she teleports again. One hit is enough for her to go down, and from there, you can get Azimuth's Third Eye and get rid of the two demons.

Enter the next room to find a time stream device. Ariel will tell you that "It will deliver you...in time." From there, enter the teleporter, save your game, enter the next teleporter, and activate the beacon you appear in front of. Go through the gates at the south to head to the Pillars of Nosgoth automatically and deliver the eye. Thankfully, this is a one-time thing. Ariel will tell you to take care of the time streaming device and that you will have to take on The Nemesis, formerly William the Just, who must be stopped before he takes over Willendorf. You must rally Willendorf's forces in order to stop The Nemesis from taking over Nosgoth.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 29 of 41

Now that we have the Soul Reaver, it's time to go deeper into the cathedral.

1:40 - The Soul Reaver in action. Sadly, it uses your magic whenever you strike enemies with it. Also, the door to the northeast of the pulpit/altar is now open.

2:51 - Get Repel ready against the enemies, and be ready to use Energy Bolts to hit switches from a distance.

4:20 - As you move through these paths, look around for anything glowing; if it's not glowing red, it's a switch.

5:19 - Also, if you haven't gotten the Flame Sword equipped, do it now. You can use it against the red skeletons that pull themselves back together so they can't come back.

6:29 - Be ready to fight some demons on this path.

8:40 - You'll see some shade summoners on this path.

9:46 - Watch out with the switch here. It's a bit easy to accidentally turn on or off. Thankfully, all it does is let your leave to the south.

10:40 - The purple demons that summon their own orange counterparts are here.

12:27 - Use Repel against the first enemy here, as the stronger demons from the town are back. Don't forget the blood vial.

14:06 - Same with this path, too.

15:08 - And this path.

16:21 - We've found Malek's body! We also find the Wraith Armor, which divides damage between your health and your magic. Also, due to the supernatural nature of the armor, you'll fade in and out as you wear it. As useful as this can be, I stick to the Chaos Armor.

From here, you can finally go through the double doors that are glowing red behind the altar.

18:39 - You can now enter the left door beyond the stained glass relief of Vorador fighting Malek. Inside the room is a save spire.

19:48 - You'll finally meet Azimuth the Plainer.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 28 of 41

In this entry, we finally enter Abernus Cathedral.

0:46 - Be ready to fight off enemies as soon as you get into the cathedral. There is a save spire across from the entrance. A big thing that can help with getting around in the cathedral is killing all the enemies that you see, as you can tell where you have and haven't been.

2:13 - The blue light reveals a panel. Hit that. This opens a door to the east. Enter the teleporter.

2:35 - Use the Repel spell as you get around here. Hit the switch before taking the teleporter, and get the blood vial before heading south.

3:57 - Hey, this door is open! Let's go through it and enter the teleporter after killing the enemy nearby.

4:10 - Hit the switch just near where you end up. Go back through the teleporter. The door to the north is open. Kill the enemy and go in the teleporter.

4:34 - Hit the left and right switches, then go through the teleporter in the next room and go west.

5:22 - This door is now open. Follow the path and go through the teleporter.

5:40 - When you enter the teleporter in the next room, touch the switch on the right on the statue in the northeast corner of the room. This lets you go south to a rune triangle and a teleporter.

6:20 - Hit the switch across from you, then head south and into the teleporter. After another teleporter, you'll need to go...

7:08 - ...here. Enter the teleporter.

7:20 - Hit the switch in the northwest corner, then head south for pick-ups and go back. The double doors will be open. Take the teleporter to the east of the pews. Don't forget to get the rune triangle and blood vial at the altar.

8:38 - Take the teleporter to the right, hit the switch in the northeast corner, then enter the silver teleporter in the room to go back. The door to the north of where you re-appear is open now. Go through it and enter the teleporter.

9:25 - Take the teleporters, and hit the switch that you see as you go.

9:44 - Believe it or not, there is a door to the south of where you end up. Crossing the bridge triggers a secret (see below).

10:20 - There is a ton of stuff here! Head north and you'll eventually find...

11:08 - ...this. Demonic sacrifices, yeah! From here, we need to head back.

12:44 - This door is now open. Save your game at the save spire, then head north, get the blood vial, then enter the teleporter to the west.

13:43 - Follow the path and watch out for the arrows that get shot at you as well as the icy floors. You'll find a blood vial along the way.

15:02 - Take the path to the southwest for a blood vial, then take the southeast path to another teleporter. From here, keep following the path until you get...

17:05 - ...here. I mess the proper path up, Let me get another timestamp for your convenience.

17:44 - Here we go. It's south, tiny teleporter south and west, south, east, southwest, south and north.

18:11 - Your reward? A map of Nosgoth on the floor and the Soul Reaver. It requires two hands, so you cannot cast magic, but if you attack enemies with it, they will go down violently at the cost of a good amount of magic. Use this against the Circle of Nine only.

Secrets

84. - Crossing this bridge triggers a secret.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 27 of 41

Before going to the cathedral, the in-game clock caused me to take a detour. We do get some stuff out of it, though.

0:52 - Instead of entering the cathedral, I go back to the gate on the way to Abernus that only opens on a full moon and go through it.

1:07 - When you enter this maze, you'll have to move around and find switches to move the turnstiles around and open up more of the maze. The first switch to hit is to the right of where you start, and it triggers a secret (see below). Thankfully, the path through the maze is pretty linear as long as you pay attention to what you are doing. Be sure to look around fully, too, as you can find two rune triangles and a blood vial.

8:20 - The Lightning spell. This spell uses a lot of magic power, but destroys all on-screen enemies.

12:38 - Not much else to mention here, so...enjoy this cutscene? The rest of this video is me trying to get back to Abernus Cathedral.

Secrets

83. - When you enter this maze, you'll have to move around and find switches to move the turnstiles around and open up more of the maze. The first switch to hit is to the right of where you start, and it triggers a secret.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 26 of 41

In this entry, we explore more of the maze that is (was?) the town of Abernus.

We start out by entering the building with the torn-up front entrance in front of us in mist form.

1:03 - The time slowdown pick-up is a secret (see below). Make sure to kill the demons before. From here, enter the crack in the southeast corner with your mist form, then go south to enter the sewers.

2:08 - From here, you'll need to make your way to the stairs in the northeast corner of the map. Use your mist form and power your way past all the monsters. When you get upstairs, enter the crack in the east wall with Mist Form.

3:18 - Time to kill more demons. The Energy Bank hides a secret. If you're playing the PAL release of the game, you'll need to grab the nearby antidote first before you grab the Energy Bank in order for the secret to count (see below).

From here, get back to the sewers, and go all the way south until you find a doorway. Before you go in, however, go east and get the Heart of Darkness. This hides a secret (see below).

4:59 - From here, you'll need to get to the southeast corner and go up the stairs. Be sure to touch the area where the time slowdown pick-up is on the way; this activates a secret (see below). Watch out for the big red demon near the end, and once you're up the stairs, enter the crack in the east wall.

6:40 - Use Imploders on the big red demon. The time slowdown pick-up in the room to the north is another secret (see below). From here, go south to exit outside.

9:38 - From here, enter the house to the north for humans to feed on for health. The rest of the house leads to other pick-ups and an exit leading to the back of the cathedral. While this path looks like it could lead to something, it actually doesn't.

13:57 - The entrance to the Abernus cathedral, and Pentalich of Tarot in action. But the full moon is up...!

Secrets

78. - The time slowdown pick-up here is a secret.

79. - he Energy Bank hides a secret. If you're playing the PAL release of the game, you'll need to grab the nearby antidote first before you grab the Energy Bank in order for the secret to count.

82. - The time slowdown pick-up in this room is yet another secret.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 25 of 41

Now that we're done with Dark Eden, it's time to head to Abernus. Guess what? It's just as bad over there as it was in Dark Eden, if not worse.

2:22 - Now that our business in Dark Eden is complete, we can go through this opening, which no longer has a door blocking it.

3:51 - This cave has a few pick-ups worth grabbing.

6:34 - There is this gate near this beacon. You'll only be able to go through the gate when the moon is full. The rune language here mentions a full moon and something about calling death from the sky.

7:43 - There's Abernus. It's on fire.

8:13 - Be careful going through here. Thankfully, the Flame Sword will make quick work of the zombies here. You'll also have to equip the axes every

11:15 - There is another beacon here. It won't be long until you get Kain's description of Abernus as well as the entrance to Abernus itself. Sadly, with all the carnage going on, this town is a maze.

12:24 - Enter the house to the right to save your game; you're gonna need it. The Chaos Armor makes the soldiers here a little easier to deal with. Also, enter whatever houses you can for pick-ups.

17:00 - This house is where you need to go. Going downstairs leads into a sewer maze. Use Repel to take out the enemies as you follow the path and get back upstairs to enter a new part of the town.

19:10 - At this point, we'll be facing more powerful demons. This guy in particular throws energy bolts that pack a punch.

24:19 - We'll be going here in the next video.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 24 of 41

In this video, we explore Dark Eden and face some more members of the Circle of Nine.

1:15 - Use Repel as you go through this area; it will really help. There is a blood vial that you can get on the path. Once you're done here, you'll have the door to the east opened up.

4:26 - This feels like a mirror image of where we were earlier, albeit with different enemies.

6:22 - You can now go north once you go through the second teleporter.

6:39 - I enter the left door first. When the enemies come at you, start swinging. Use the Mist Form to get the blood vial and rune triangle here.

7:26 - Hit the switch, then go through the door on the right. Watch out for the giant wall spikes as you go through here and get the blood vial

8:36 - After going through the now-opened center door, watch the spikes and spiked balls as you hit the switches. Use Repel to get to the last switch and exit to the north.

9:51 - The left door takes us to the Flesh Armor. This armor allows you to absorb the blood of the enemies that you fight, even if their blood is green or black. I just stick to the Chaos Armor. There is a rune triangle at the end of this path.

13:37 - The right door takes you to Spirit Death, which is like Control Mind but works on non-human enemies. Use your magic to get through the first part. There is another rune triangle at the end.

16:02 - Here, you will face Bane, DeJoule, Anarcrothe and Malek. Vorador shows up and fights Malek while everyone runs away and Kain gives chase.

17:46 - To beat Bane and DeJoule, you'll need to use Repel while you chase after Bane as he runs around and digs holes full of water into the ground and hit him with the Flame Sword. He'll eventually go down, and you'll be able to get his deer antler helmet as proof that you killed him. As for DeJoule, use Energy Bolt while Repel is active and shoot it at DeJoule. You'll soon be able to kill her and get her cloak. When you beat Bane and DeJoule, head east to the teleporter. You'll find out that Malek has been slain by Vorador and that Malek's helmet is intact. When you pick it and leave the room, you'll head to the Pillars of Nosgoth, where you can restore three more pillars. Now you must find Azimuth the Plains in Averness, but to do that, we must rise and we must fall, according to Ariel.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 23 of 41

Our journey takes us to Dark Eden...and the area it is in is most inhospitable.

1:20 - The scarecrows. The flame sword works best on them. The crows can hurt you, but they have a limited range.

2:36 - There are two secrets where these pick-ups are (see below).

4:32 - The Hearts of Darkness human sacrifice in action.

6:33 - By going north of the village of Uschtenheim, we'll run into some new territory as well as some dangerous new enemies. Some of them are red humanoids who shoot spikes out of their bodies and cause a lot of pain, while the big slug enemies will poison your blood and force you to use an antidote. Use Implode to get rid of the slug enemies. Repel will work wonders here. We also get to look at the Signet Ring.

10:01 - A blood fountain! Your magic energy recovers even faster once you feed from here!

12:05 - A volcanic cave. Do not touch the lava while grabbing things; it will hurt you.  Use Control Mind on the enemy in the corner so you can trigger a switch. Hitting that switch triggers a secret (see below) and make it easier to get one more secret.

16:22 - We have made it to Dark Eden. There is a gate to the west, but it only opens during a full moon. Head north for now.

19:12 - The land has become twisted, but now there is lava. Also, there are a few human enemies around here in case you need to get some health. There are houses around here, but you cannot enter any of them.

24:06 - Using Control Mind to hit that switch makes it easier to get around and head further north.

26:36 - We are finally at Dark Eden. You won't be able to enter the nearby cave yet, so just enter Dark Eden and head west to save your game.

Secrets

75 and 76. - There are two secrets where these pick-ups are.

77. - A volcanic cave. Do not touch the lava while grabbing things; it will hurt you.  Use Control Mind on the enemy in the corner so you can trigger a switch. Hitting that switch triggers a secret and make it easier to get one more secret.

PrinceWatercress plays Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Part 22 of 41

In this entry, we head to Uschtenheim and find a few critical secrets.

0:39 - I go west first for a beacon, then I head east towards Uschtenheim. We also find Dark Eden in the distance, which we'll have to go to later.

3:07 - The Implode here hides a secret (see below). To the east is Uschtenheim.

7:52 - After exploring every other house here, I go to the one to the north of the sign. To open the door to the east, go back to Kain's Mausoluem with the Sanctuary spell, then head to the second mausoleum to the south. Go back to the puzzle that opened up the path to the exit and hit the right switch, then go back through Kain's Mausoleum with Sanctuary, then fly back to Uschtenheim and enter that house again. This time, the door to the east will be open. Approaching the teleporter activates a secret (see below), and the teleporter will take you to the spirit forge for the Heart of Darkness. As usual, approaching the path to the spirit forge triggers another secret.

If you leave through the main entrance, you'll find a gate to the east that only opens during the full moon.

13:17 - You don't need to do this, but if you go to the pillars at this point, Ariel will tell you that the Circle have exiled themselves to the north and that Dark Eden is your next destination.

Secrets

72. - This Implode hides a secret.

73 and 74. - After exploring every other house here, I go to the one to the north of the sign. To open the door to the east, go back to Kain's Mausoluem with the Sancutary spell, then head to the second mausoleum to the south. Go back to the puzzle that opened up the path to the exit and hit the right switch, then go back through Kain's Mausoleum with Sanctuary, then fly back to Uschtenheim and enter that house again. This time, the door to the east will be open. Approaching the teleporter activates a secret, and the teleporter will take you to the spirit forge for the Heart of Darkness. As usual, approaching the path to the spirit forge triggers another secret.
