Before we enter endgame, let's have some fun.
0:00 - This cave, once opened, leads to the Pentalich of Tarot spirit forge. Go north once you're inside the cave and you'll trigger the secret (see below).
2:04 - The cave further to the north and west of the Pentalich of Tarot forge leads to the Nemesis Keep, which we've been to before.
3:22 - The first of four super-secret switches is here at the Nemesis Cave. Shoot at what looks like a window with Energy Bolt to trip it.
7:00 - The second switch is in this corner just south of Ziegsturhl. Just face south to find the switch and hit it with Energy Bolt.
7:45 - The third switch in Malek's Bastion, which is hidden in a window. Hit the switch with Energy Bolt.
8:58 - The fourth switch is tucked away in a corner where a Heart of Darkness is southeast of Willendorf. Face north where the road ends and throw an Energy Bolt to hit the switch.
11:24 - At Capt. Bitter's Sudz in Vasserbunde, you'll find a back entrance. The teleporter takes you to...
12:11 - ...the HCMS Bitter. (The ship is Canadian because Silicon Knights was based in Canada.) This ship was originally part of the story, but later taken out and the maps for it dummied out and placed secretly. From the Legacy of Kain Wiki:
HMCS Bitter was an obscure area of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain that was largely undiscovered until years after release. The area remained unknown to the general public until 2010 when the Blood Omnicide team discovered the area in game files as part of their project to recreate Blood Omen in 3D. At the time the area seemed to be cut off from the rest of the world and required a walk through walls cheat to access. In 2020 the switches that opened the way to the Bitter were finally uncovered by fans in the Land of the Nemesis, Ziegsturhl, Malek's Bastion and the region southeast of Willendorf. These areas had literally represented the four corners of the World map in the Blood Omen alpha, but the map had been reshuffled in development leaving different areas as the corners in the retail version. Each switch was invisible, off the playable area and technically unreachable, but all had subtle pathing to the switch which allowed an Energy Bolt to travel through and activate it.
One of the white teleporter pads will take you back to Vasserbunde, but the other one will take you to the wrecked version of the ship. In both areas, you can find a lot of pick-ups as well as some areas where you can fight enemies and open chests. Use the mist form to walk on the water.
Despite being hidden the way that it is, this is not considered an official secret, as this was well hidden-off by the developers and was intentionally made near-impossible to find until gamers figured it out.
Secrets
97. - This cave, once opened, leads to the Pentalich of Tarot spirit forge. Go north once you're inside the cave and you'll trigger the secret.
ACTUALLY 97. - I got this during the Let's Play, but I failed to mention that this was a secret when I found it and I never listed this as a result. Be sure to get this one before you return the doll. If you don't remember where it is, it's south of the wooden bridge leading into Vasserbunde and blocked by a stone menhir that you have to break with the mace. Placing it here because I forgot which video I got this one in and I don't feel like doing minutes on end of searching. (Thanks Lumpz Clown)
