HalfBlindGamer plays The Battle of Olympus - Part 8 of 8

In this entry, our story comes to a happy end.

The golden snakes are move powerful versions of the snakes you've fought before. Fight them like you did the past ones.

The Lamia recolor is called the Kampe, and it fights much like Lamia. The only difference is that you have the Divine Sword and you can zap the Kampe with lightning.

From the Kampe, go right and up the stairs, then go up even further. Watch out for the flying enemies and the snakes as you go to the screen on the left and enter the doorway. You'll find a Nymph who will tell you that Helene has been turned to stone somewhere in the temple, and that you'll need to go back to her after you beat Hades.

From here, go back and go down to the previous screen. Go left and stay on the upper floor as you continue to go left. The doorway you'll find on the way contains an old woman who will sell you nectar for 30 olives. Get it if you need it and you have the olives. She will be mean to you regardless of whether or not you buy.

From the doorway, go left and up the steps, then head left to the doorway to find another old woman who will be impressed that you have the moon crystal. You can then go right and up the platforms. Stay on the upper floor and go up the stairs, then go up again and go to the right to meet another Nymph. If you go in here and talk to her, she will refill your pitcher if it is empty, but you'll be kicked back to the beginning.

Back at the start, go back to the right after the Kampe, then go up the stairs and to the left. After the next set of stairs, you'll want to go to the right and stay on the upper level. Keep going right and go up the stairs at the end, then loop around the next area and go down the stairs. Be careful with the jump in the middle of that area, as you can fall into the pit and die if you don't land the jump.

From the stairs, go further down and enter the doorway. You'll find Helene turned to stone. Go into the next doorway, and you'll face Hades. Equip the moon crystal so you can see your shadow - and Hades' - in the water below. You'll want to hit Hades in the head or the ankles, and you'll want to remember that Hades will sometimes move back to avoid getting a beating. Make sure you have a lot of health at the start and a pitcher full of nectar, just in case. After enough hits, Hades will be visible, and after some more hits in a second phase where nothing changes, Hades will go down.

Go back to Helene, and your Fragments of Love will turn Helene back to normal. Orpheus and Helene leave Tartarus and head back to Elis. Enjoy your ending!
