HalfBlindGamer plays The Battle of Olympus - Part 7 of 8

In this entry, the road to Tartarus is opened and the final battle draws near.

From the temple, head right and use the ocarina to call the dolphin and go to Crete.

Crete

From here, it's back into the maze.

One of the doors in the maze leads to a old woman who will tell you to remember "Left, Left, Right, Left" for Tartarus. Another woman in the maze will make you a Salamander Skin Shield if you give her twenty Salamander Skins and 80 olives. If you don't have 80 olives, you'll lose the Sandals, and you'll have to go back to where you got them to get them back. Exchange it all, and the shield is yours, allowing you to block fireballs with your shield.

From here, you'll need to make your way to the minotaur. Thankfully, the maps should be able to help you. To beat the Minotaur, keep your distance to block the bombs it throws, then go for the knees. Make sure you have plenty of health before taking him on. From here, you can enter the door that opens after the Minotaur dies, then keep going to find the third Nymph and the third Fragment of Love. You'll find out that Helene has been taken to Tartarus, and you can make your way there through the power of the Miracle of Love.

Take the third and final Fragment to get one more message from Helene. She will tell you that the door to Tartarus is along the sea between Crete and Argolis and has been opened, and that Aphrodite has sent the Nymphs to Tartatus to help you rescue her.

There is a fountain in the maze if you need it.

From here, leave Crete. Head left on the dolphin, and you'll find the entrance to Tarturus.

Tartarus

From here, you'll want to go through the left door, the left door, the right door, and then the left door. Deviating from this sequences will cause you to fight previous bosses, which you don't want to do.

After following the correct path, you'll face the Cerberus. You'll need to keep leaping towards it and striking it with the Divine Sword, and it will also help if you back it into a corner. Once you beat the Cerberus, head back to the left. A new opening has appeared. Go through it.

From here, watch out for the bubbles and the bat as you leap from one platformer to another. Shortly after the start of this second is one of the Nymphs, who will regain your power and tell you that the Temple of Hades is up ahead.

Instead of going all the way to the right to the outside, enter the opening before that. Keep going right, and you'll eventually find another opening where you can get another password. At least you don't have to kneel down this time. From there, enter the passage all the way to the right after you leave.

In the next section, watch out for the enemies, and use the ceiling to get past the pit. From here, you'll have to defeat the salamander boss again to continue, and once you do, take the lower passage. Take the opening that is second from right, then enter the next room. You'll meet another Nymph, who will give you some Nectar as they tell you that you must go through the cave to get to the Temple of Hades.

After this, go back to the room full of doors and enter the left-most door, then take the upper passage. Take the upper passage after the bridge, then go right and take the upper door. Head left and take the next door you see for another Nymph, who will tell you that Hades has transformed Helene into stone and that you can transform her back. From here, leave, then head left and enter the next door.

Go right and enter the door to meet another Nymph. The Nymph will tell you that the Temple of Hades is near. Leave, then enter the door on the left end. Go all the way to the left end of the next room and enter the door to enter the Temple of Hades.
