We head to outer space for a few more remotes in this entry.
The next stage we tackle is The Umpire Strikes Out.
The Umpire Strikes Out
The token tiers here are rocket ships, phaser guns and astronaut dolls.
1:01 - You will be standing in an air refill station as soon as you start the level. Watch your air meter at the far right side of the screen like a hawk, because if it runs out, you die. When you walk into one, make sure you're standing directly inside it so Gex will automatically shift into it and immediately get all his air back. If the light turns green when you enter, you've done it right. Also, try not to take damage; it will cost you air in addition to health.
1:17 - The bugs here give you tokens if tail whipped twice, as will some of the things that are littered around such as rockets and radio transponders. The box with the word "air" on it gives you an air bubble if tail whipped, and you'll need to move into the air bubble before it disappears to refill your air meter in case you can't get to an air refill station.
1:49 - This charred metal path leads to the rocket you'll have to ride for the first red remote.
2:09 - These platforms will slowly move around in a circle. If you leap into the trail of energy around them, you will take damage. Thankfully, there are some stationary platforms that lead you to the next area. As always, destroy antyhing you can for tokens.
2:40 - This manta ray enemy gives you not only tokens, but also an air bubble for refilling your air.
2:56 - This UFO acts as a platform not only to some dark colored-platforms, but also the hidden silver remote! The teleporter takes you back to the start.
5:10 - We have some more platforms...
6:10 - ...and they lead here. Jump onto the glowing gecko paw panel to ride the rocket. Be sure to get air first if you need to.
6:40 - After a Death Star trench sequence, grab the air here, then head into open space. The R2-D2 droids will try to somersault over you, but if you keep tail whipping as you chase it, you'll eventually beat it down.
7:46 - After you get to the last platform, head in the other direction. Avoid all the lasers as you make your way to the other end, and you'll be able to go down...
8:10 - ...here. If you stiay in the air refill station, the enemies - especially the aliens with the lightsabers - can't hit you. Defeat both the alien and the R2-D2 robot and you'll be able to get the red remote here a little more easily and safely.
With all the stuff we've picked up, I Got The Reruns is unlocked.
10:29 - It's time to go this way to the battle dome. Time your jumps on the rotating platforms carefully. If you drop down, remember that the alien's lightsaber can still hurt you after the alien's death until it too disappears and leaves a token.
12:25 - Aside from some tentacles that will grab at you from the holes in the ground - which can be easily tail whipped - there is a purple platform that will take you down to more stuff. The other platform here takes you to health. There will also be some red asteroids that will push you into the abyss below; avoid them.
13:23 - These platforms lead to something you can climb on. Watch out for the rings of energy; they can hurt you if they touch you.
14:13 - At the top, you'll be able to find some air and some new terrain.
14:35 - Here, you'll have to jump over energy barrier that quickly move towards you as you move along the path. When you reach the tower at the bottom, climb all the way down for air.
15:22 - At the top, you'll find an air refill station.
16:00 - After fighting off an alien, we'll find some more spinning platforms...and this time, they're spinning vertically. Jump when you can get on without sliding off, long jump to the other one, and get to the other side to find the checkpoint, which you'll definitely need. Drop down to the green asteroids, and you'll eventually find a platform that leads...
16:32 - ...here. Use the long jump to make it over all the "side-scrolling" platforms.
17:30 - At the top, get some air, then jump over all the moving barriers to get to another tower.
18:06 - At the top of the tower is more air, and some more spinning platforms. Wait for the platforms to stop spinning one by one so you can cross, then get more air before beating up the enemies for tokens (should you need them) before getting the other red remote.
