PrinceWatercress plays Coffee Adventure

It's a text adventure about making coffee in the privacy of your own home!

Welcome to a simple text adventure for a simple but venerable 8-bit micro. It may have been made later in the 1990s for an Electron hobbyist magazine.

You can use very simple commands to get around your house. the letters N, S, W and E (or north, south, west and east) let you go in the corresponding directions, while Up and Down (or the letters U and D) let you go up and down stairs where there are stairs.

If you type "INV" you can look at all the things you are carrying. To get an item that you see in the room, just type "GET" followed by the name of the item.

The description of the current room is on the top of the screen, while the command you have to type in will be below that.

The items are all in the same place; they are not randomly placed every time you play. The milk will always be in the front door, and the kettle full of water and the jar of instant coffee will always be in the kitchen. The sugar will always be in the bathroom (why?), but it is optional and you can both intentionally and unintentionally beat the game without it as soon as you enter the bathroom after boiling the water and collecting everything else..

If you boil the kettle, then get the sugar followed by the rest of the items, you'll win when you re-enter the kitchen.

If you have all the items but do not have the kettle boiled, boiling the kettle in the kitchen wins the game.

It feels like practice at a text adventure, and you'll probably be interested for about five minutes, but it's worth checking out if only because of how short, simple and mundane it is.
