PrinceWatercress plays Saturn Bomberman - Part 3 of 12

Our journey in feudal Japan continues, then we head to the Wild West for the third crystal.

Stage 2-4

This stage takes place in a rather confined area. Watch what you're doing and try not to drop too many bombs.

The picture of Bomberman's face is an extra life.

Stage 2-5

The purple stag beetles will toss your bombs over their heads if they see them. If the bombs go over the edge of the playing field, it will wrap around to the opposite end.

If you leave worm enemies alone long enough, they turn into the butterfly enemies.

The P Bomb icon is a Power Bomb. This gives a very powerful, far-reaching bomb. The first bomb you lay in a set of bombs will always be a Power Bomb.

Stage 2-6

You are now in a feudal Japanese village.

The Meanie minions here turn into rocks or trees, but it doesn't save them from getting destroyed by your bombs.

The "three bombs" icon will give you the Line Bomb ability. Just double tap the C button, and you'll lay a line of bombs in the direction you are facing. The number of bombs you lay down will depend on how many extra bomb icons you've collected.

Stage 2-7

You'll be entering the building proper for this one. Also, the soft blocks are lanterns.

The red button will cause the spikes to go in or come out of the floor when bombed, depending on the current position of the spikes. If you are on a spike panel when a spike comes up, you'll take a hit if the spike touches you.

The robots here just move around slowly.

Stage 2-8

There are some new enemies here. The shuriken enemies move around slowly, while the tank enemies show up in greater numbers. If the tank enemies see a bomb in a vertical corridor, they will punch the bomb away. It will also punch at you if it sees you.

The icon of the heart with the bomb is the Remote Bomb. This changes the bombs to look more like a landmine, and you can get them to explode any time you want by pressing B. Just make sure you won't be caught in the crossfire before you detonate.

Boss Stage: J Ninja

The boss is a robot.

Lay two bombs near each other, then get away. If the ninja's arm extends, he will push any bombs it touches back. If you have the remote bomb, this is much easier. This ninja can also teleport away from your bombs, too. If the ninja gets on a kite, use your bombs to blow it up and get him back on the ground.

You'll get the red crystal, then find out that the next crystal is in the Wild West.

Wild West World

Stage 3-1

The guys with the axes will charge at you if they see you, and they can jump over your explosions. The walking pistols will shoot bullets  at your bombs and get them to blow up, and they take two hits to defeat. . The purple witch will fly through the soft blocks and shoot star projectiles at your bombs.

The soft bombs here are cacti.

If you blow up the big cactus enough times, you can turn it into a slot machine that you can use to get power-ups with, including the remote bombs, by hitting the buttons with bomb explosions.

The wooden sandal slows you down.

Stage 3-2

There is a train in this stage, and it will hurt you if it runs into you. Sadly, it does not hurt the enemies.
