We finally fight those responsible for this entire mess...and they're pretty difficult bosses.
Mr. Meanie's Secret Base 3
There's a minion making machine in the background.
The droids take two hits to defeat. Some of the flying enemies here will turn into them and will try to punch things, including bombs, with their extendo-arms.
The laser turrets can be blown up with bombs; however, you will have to place a bomb directly in front of one to destroy it.. Thankfully, the lasers do not affect your bombs in any way.
Mr. Meanie's Secret Base 4
This room is very expansive.
There are conveyor belts here, but you can see where they are going. They will move not only you, but your bombs as well.
Boss: Mr. Meanie
Now you can go back to any part of Stage 5 again. Beware, you will have to go through all of the secret base in one shot if you enter it again.
Mr. Meanie and his giant robot is the hardest boss so far. You must hit the center orb when it glows pink, and this can take a while to time if you don't have the remote bombs. Once you destroy one, you'll have to hit the center of the robot again to get the rest of the robot to destroy.
He also has a lot of attacks, and you may have to deal with two at once
When the robot crushes part of the building to reveal the next pink orb to destroy, you'll stay put, but any bombs you have laid down will be detonated.
The giant laser will aim straight to the center. It's pretty big. Get to the side if you see it charge up.
The machine guns with the pink sights will shoot you if they lock onto you. If they don't, they'll shoot the floor in an attempt to find you.
The drill bombs have green flames that travel a limited distance in the cardinal directions when they touch down. Watch for the shadows, and stay away from the aftermath.
When the arms are out and the fists extend, watch which laser globes light up so that you can stand between lasers without getting zapped.
After destroying both purple orbs, Mr. Meanie will be exposed and you'll be able to hit him. He won't have any new attacks, but he will still be a pain in the butt to deal with as you're assured to be dealing with two attacks at once at this point.
Boss: Dr. Mechado
Once you blow Mr. Meanie up, you'll see Mr. Mechado's blimp fly out of a building in the background. You'll catch up to him, then you'll have to face him. Lay five bombs so that they all cover the room while you hide from them. If you have the range, you'll tear his forces to ribbons and get an extra life if you need one. After this, you'll face Mr. Mechado at last...
