Kikoskia plays Daikatana - Part 4 of 10

asdf

When you find the path made of columns, take the stairway to the east of them. From there, you can jump up the columns to find another Greek tablet. If you jump down to where the yellow Capsule is and hit a wall, you won't take fall damage or damage from colliding into the wall.

There are cartridges for the Trident, and you'll find them as you eventually find a way to a room with some cracks in the floor. By standing on one, you'll fall down a floor into a new area. You'll have to keep swinging the sword to take care of the rats.

To get rid of the spikes that pop in and out of the lfoor, you'll have to find a switch nearby and step on. Thankfully, that switch isn't hard to find. This will make it easier to get back to ground level and onto a path to a garden where you can find another Greek tablet.

By using the Trident, you will find out that its shots are quite powerful for this point in the game and that the shots bounce off walls up to two times before disappearing.

By walking onto different cracked tiles in the room that is full of them, you will be falling into different areas of the ruins below and finding new places. There are four of these areas underground, and you'll have to go through all of them in order to find all the Greek tablets. There will be either a spike trap with spikes you can jump over or an arrow trap with arrows you can dodge, but there will always be a switch nearby that you can step on to disarm them.

When you find all four Greek tablets, you'll be able to get into the door to the next area. Mikiko will notice that the Greek tablets make up the word "Shield." The door then opens, and Mikiko realizes that the shield in question is the shield of Perseus.

Beyond the door, you'll be able to play as Hiro, so equip the Daikatana. Avoid the bubbling water and you make your way north and fight off crocodiles with ease. You'll eventually come across a statue of the goddess Athena that seems a bit too lifelike. Apparently, Athena was turned to stone, and Mikiko and Hiro both realize that Medusa is here. Unfortunately, the path back closes on them, and Hiro is forced to fight Medusa in the next room. If you get in front of the Athena statue, your HP will be restored.

Going further north will reveal that some guards have been turned to stone...and so has Superfly. Grab the Energy Water nearby and go into the next room. Keep your distance and keep shooting at Medusa with the Trident while avoiding the snake that is moving around the room. Your max HP will go up 50, and the water will be restored along with everyone who has been turned to stone, including Superfly Johnson. You'll be able to play as Superfly. Equip the Hammer to destroy all the enemies in one hit and get out. The statue of Athena will turn back into a human, and Athena will thank you for stopping Medusa's curse by giving the Daikatana some of her power.

Athena then mentions that the Daikatana has great power inside, but that power has not yet awakened. In order to power the Daikatana up, Hiro must master using it and find someone from each age they go to who can grant the sword power like she did. Hiro will then travel through time with Superfly and Mikiko, and run into Kage Mishima in the space-time continuum. Kage knows you're traveling through time, and throws Hiro and company into another era.

Destroy the rat in the graveyard and go through the gates. Mikiko will mention that she was bitten by a rat, but she should be okay. (*whispers* We're in an unknown time period; it's not gonna be okay.)To the west is a church as well as a Bolter, which is a crossbow and the ranged weapon for this era.
